This is a seafood restaurant. As in, there is nothing but seafood on the menu. They were nice enough to prepare chicken for one... of the people in our group though. The waiter explained that they keep a very limited supply of chicken on hand but it's not onthe menu. I had the leek soup and the cod. The soup was nothing special and the cod was fine. Portions were fairly small and Ileft hungry. The people who ordered clams got 4 clams. I do like the atmosphere here. Even when it's full, it's quiet enough sothat it's possible to have a conversation with the folks you went to dinner with. Service was professional and quick. Read more
I have gone to Douro 2 times now and have been impressed both times. The food was really good. The customer service was also... really good. The waiter remembered us from when we came a year ago. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some goodquality Portuguese food. Good wine selection. Read more

I am so disappointed. Just wanted to have a great dinner with a good friend but from the beginning the waiter who was there when... we entered showed us an immediate rejection, his attitude towards us looked like we were a disturbance; he was extremely coldand ignored us completely. So we decided to give him another chance and he kept ignoring us for more than 10 minutes, so wedecided to politely leave the place whiteout saying anything and he didn?t care at all. My impression is that he just has a joband he doesn?t understand how difficult it is to maintain a business, and he doesn?t know how to behave with customers. For sureI will never try to go back to this place. Maybe someone else can have a different experience but I felt like the waiter judgedus quite negatively from the beginning to the very end and was militantly disagreeable. We have done absolutely nothing thatwould deserve us such a treatment. Read more
