The place is charming. Nice idea. The place is like a walk through the past and better than a museum. The owner is nice and... accommodating. On the negative, we got there late and there was no key for our room. We texted and called and eventually got theapologetic owner. We got in our room after waiting 30 min. We couldn?t bring ourselves to use the shower because the previousoccupants and management had left a lot of hair in the shower. Read more

We did not stay. My dad asked the staff if there were any vacancies as the vacancy sign was on in the window. The staff said... what? Dad repeated the question 2 more times and the staff asked what both times. I stated he is asking if you have a vacancy ,the staff asked, WHAT'S THAT! Available rooms I responded. Oh well vacancy can mean many things! the staff responded. Seriously, this is the representative of your b&b!? We left at this point. Read more

Wasn't great for us...horrible microfiber bedding, uncomfortable bed, LOUD air conditioner, old stained carpet with a huge rip... on the stairs, shabby decor, furniturel ooked like it came from a second hand store....has potential though, just needs to bechic. I talked to the owner...she was very nice. Still, expensive for what us there. Read more

If I could give a 0 I would. The place is haunted which they don't advertise and they advertise breakfast which they do not... have do to staffing issues. It also took me 20 minutes to get a key because there is no one at the front desk... After lookinginto, I'm not the only one with these issues Read more

Ok so i drove a truck for years and i was out that way hauling potatoes going somewhere. Don?t really remember. But I stopped by... this little place. Really nice experience. It was the off season and i was the only one there. Really enjoyed my stay. Thepeople there over it was super nice. Breakfast omlet next day way awesome. Made my mourning. That night there bathroom had thisold tub in it that was a nice touch.. next mourning getting ready to leave i took this picture out of the bathroom window.Thought it made a very nice memory.. i do a little photography on the side but some pictures just say it without saying a word. The lady next mourning with her kids, i gave them several pounds of those potatoes to Mabey help with food bill or just forthere family. Didn?t really matter. Just glad i had extra to give . Wanna go back with my wife and show her this cool littleplace. Hope this picture makes your day like it does every time i look at it . If I could give 10 stars I would. We checked in late and the instructions for checking in were easy to follow. We were impressed... with the cleanliness of the room which was also very cozy and inviting. All of the staff we interacted with were kind andhelpful! There were countless small details that were clearly thought through. The WiFi was very fast. The beds are comfortable. We look forward to our next stay! Read more

Staying at Great Mill itself was an experience. It gives a feeling of going back in time. We stayed for couple of nights at a... room at the top level with a bathroom attached. Overall, it was nice stay and we'd like to stay again if we are around. Thingswe liked, + Room and bathroom were very clean, + Loved the decor, + They seemed to be very nice people. Reasons for taking outthe one star are: - The Clawfoot bathtub is a nice touch aesthetically but can become a trip hazard for someone not verycareful - The carpet on the stairs is really worn-out Things we didn't mind but found to be good to keep in mind for otherswhile staying at this place: - With one window AC, the room can get pretty hot and the sound of running AC can be annoying atnight - It's self check in - so no one will be there to greet you rather you'll get your keys clipped to a board along with theroom directions printed on a paper. Made a reservation well in advance via the Navy Credit Union and Expedia. Yes, we even have a confirmation email. Rode 9.5 hours... and upon arrival and after unloading the motorcycles discovered nobody on site and no key has been left for us. Called thenumber displayed at the check in area and, after too long of a time, got a text (NOT a phone call) back saying they didn't haveour reservation. Texted back and asked if the room was available anyways and never heard back. Waited. And waited. And waited. No text. No phone call. Nothing. Had to find another room in town last minute. HUGE inconvenience. HORRIBLE customer service.AND another reason we booked a room here was because we wouldn't have to get back on the motorcycles to go get dinner orbreakfast.. since they offered both when we made the reservation (supposedly, included in the price of the room). NOPE! Signs upin the lobby saying they were not offering either. But we could buy snacks from they're dining room fridge, the sign says. Yes,right. So gracious of them. No thanks. Read more
