I was at the Kartrite resort and did not want to get breakfast there ($$$) so I came here with the family. The price was right... and the breakfast was bountiful. I ordered for pickup and they packed it in individual boxes and bagged it which workedperfectly when going back to the hotel room. Expected a 50's style diner and did not get that vibe as they weren't even playing music from the the 50's or 60's. Our waitress... was rude, before I could even finish saying "sausage gravy" the waitress speedily responded with a "we don't have that" eventhough it was on the menu. Then I asked to switch that to "chili fries without onions" (they had both chili and fries on themenu). She brought out my boyfriends plate of chicken wings and a plate of fries with chili on top (JUST chili) for me. I thenasked if I could have cheese added to it and she seemed confused. I literally had to say "Don't you have shredded cheese"? Shegot huffy and said "well, these aren't even on the menu" to which I wanted to say "well, your menu says you have sausage gravybut you don't, so...why are we going by menu now?". She did bring them back with the cheese (at which point I was skeptical ofit being sabotaged). My one pancake was good, my over-easy egg was overdone (obviously from being under the warmer too long) andthe bacon seemed precooked. My boyfriend's wings and sandwich with fries were good, and we also had 2 fountain drinks (which ourwaitress never asked to be refilled) and our bill came to nearly $50! The "icing on the sh*t cake" was when I went to use thebathroom and it smelled so heavily like raw sewage coming up from a vent in the floor, I was immediately nauseous. This place is a cute small place with pictures of old school actors all over, lots of pictures of Elvis, guess they big Elvis... fan. Food was ok simple breakfast platter had to switch the himefries because they were cold and bland. The tuna was average andsimple. Read more
Really fantastic diner and a gem of an establishment in the Sullivan county area. They?re family friendly and always satisfy our... craving for great food. Big fan of their specials and various dishes like the sandwiches and salads. Bonus tip- their milkshakeis one of the best I?ve had at a diner. Waitresses are always smiling and friendly, Chico the chef and owner puts great careinto this business. Always feels good to support a place with love put into it this way. Huge thumbs up always. You can't find a restaurant more authentic than Tilly's. Hands down the best food I've had in awhile, and burgers are made... fresh to order! Our waitress and rest of the staff were also delightful. This 50's style diner will have you in awe from thedecor and atmosphere to the mouth watering food and friendly staff. It's a MUST try, and try again spot!!
