Happened to be in Montgomery for work, needed a halal place to grab lunch at. Stopped by Blue Store Deli and the food was great... and the service impeccable and best of all as a Muslim seeing a business thriving without selling Alcohol or lottery is Amazing!Will definitely be back when I am in town. Not sure what happened to this place. The reviews looked great and the pictures of the menu and food were so enticing I felt... like I had to try it. But when I arrived, nothing was like the Google reviews or pictures. The ceiling had so many leaks thatthey had buckets everywhere and a gentleman mopping up drips constantly. I wouldn?t have minded that if the food had been asdescribed. The TV menus were not working. So I asked for a menu. The gentleman behind the counter pointed to a piece ofcardboard on top of the counter that had only sandwich sizes and prices on it. So I resorted to the pictures of the menu onGoogle and asked for the California Fresh from the signature sandwich menu. He asked what I wanted on it and I replied thateverything that normally comes on it and mentioned the avocado that was included on the menu description. He said they were outof avocado. Then I asked for the Italian job which has mozzarella, pesto, tomato, and olive oil. He got to work. I should haveknown the man had no idea what I was asking for and was clearly working off a different menu. After cooking he asked if I wantedmayo on it. I ended up with a chopped chicken sandwich with none of the Italian Job ingredients. It did not taste bad, but itwasn?t anything to brag about. Clearly the varied menu that is shown online is no longer offered. I am guessing this place isunder new management or had something terrible happen to cause it to be run down. Hopefully they can find their way back ontheir feet. The pictures of the old menu and food look amazing. I wish I had the same experience as others who posted those.Best of luck to this business. When I read the reviews they sounded good and so I came to the store and the customer service was really on point the workers... really try to help and make you have the best time at the store. When I was ordering my food there is so many options and theyare all really good options when I got my food and ate it the food really tasted good when I go to fancy restaurant their foodtaste regular and good but Blue Store Deli food was really on point and was really good it just taste different and better thanfancy restaurants I recommend anyone to Blue Store Deli it?s the best Deli in Montgomery. One of the best kept secrets in town. Great food and great variety. From breakfast and lunch, they are hard to beat.
