I think Slice is really making the right choice by moving in Montevallo. The vibe of the place fits the city and it has a very... signature feel that a lot of other places around really lack. The bar is well stocked for sports night, or just a night out ingeneral. The staff is very kind and diligent in keeping you informed and served. Lots of custom pizza options to suit any desireyou might want. Yes, even vegan options. In comparison to the other locations this one is smaller in overall size but does notlack seating options whatsoever. They have a bar inside the main building with overflow seating. Outside patio options for thosewho prefer it. Also, they have dine in seating across the parking lot from the main building. This side features arcade stylegames and tvs for the little ones. We had a nice experience at this new establishment. Got to meet one of the owners, Jerry (in the pictures provided) who was very... nice as he made hus rounds checking on customers. We ordered the tots appetizers and let me tell you they were absolutelyanazing! Seriously. We also ordered two pizzas, a 12" broccoli crust "margarita" topping (kindo plain for my liking but mysister loved it) and a 14" regular crust "old school" topping and both were delicious. For a place that was packed, we got our food really fast. I wish I had gotten the employees names because they were fantastic!... The young woman with her blue hair pulled back in a scrunchie at the front of the outdoor seating was extremely sweet andhelpful. We had a young man with dark hair and glasses as our server and he was so attentive and always made sure our drinkswere full. Every pizza going by looked and smelled great. We had the Wing and a prayer pizza (minus onions and tomatoes) and itwas 10/10. Cant wait to come back and try more. Read more

My wife loves this place, but this is not her review. The service is cool. College age kids getting some work experience. No big... deal. My main problem is that the pizza seems to have a kind of bitter aftertaste. I've experienced this at the Montevallolocation as well as the location in Birmingham. IDK what causes that after taste but it's gotta be in the ingredients. Read more
