Delicious!! We all enjoyed it! One of us has a vegan diet due to allergies, and he loved the detailed menu with allergens... identified. One had vegan bee’s knees, and one had the dairy/egg bee’s knees. Both loved it. Enjoyed the peach pie(seasonal) and coffee caramel ice cream! Line moves quickly. Read reviews about this amazing place so had to try it. Waited in line about 10 minutes. Ordered the banana caramel and the... bees knee honey. Not a fan of either after tasting very disappointed in the flavors. No banana flavor, more caramel flavorthan banana. The bees knee was flavorless with a hint of hard chewy honey. It looked like ear wax particles on ice cream. Somuch for the experience. Thrifty ice cream has better flavor in my opinion. Staff were kind and helpful. Read more
First time here on a Saturday night… we ended up waiting 50 minutes in line for ice cream AND it was all worth it. She got the... Bee’s Knee with torched marshmallow. They torch it in front of you so prep your phone camera! I opted for the double scoop:Bee’s Knee and split of Coffee Caramel and Milk & Cookies. Bee’s Knee is definitely the best I’ve had. I tried the honeyice cream from Humphrey Slocombe and it can’t really compare. Everything being locally sourced is such a game changer! Thecoffee caramel was good. I love all things coffee! I’d recommend coming here earlier on Saturday and not at night. I’m notsure if that happens to be a busy Saturday but better safe than sorry. Read more
First time in Monterey and reviews led me to this shop. Long line ups but for good reason. Clean, and staff is friendly. Indoor... and outdoor seating is available, but not a lot of space. no bathroom options. Tried their bees nees flavor and I can see whyit's award winning!!! So delicious and I say this because I am not a huge fan of honey. I loved every bite of it. All my familymembers thoroughly enjoyed it as well. I also tried the Earl Grey flavor which I didn't like as much. Milk and cookies flavorwas decent. I do recommend getting the marshmallow on top of your ice cream. Marshmallow is vegetarian friendly. Great ice cream. Some standard and some unique flavors. I tried the bees knees - honeycomb based ice cream with honey and honey... hard candy / crumbles mixed in. It’s really good.
