Went here for a late lunch. Staff was really nice and service was fast. The food was good. Typical Mexican food place in... California. Lots of options. Gorditas and a soda and chips and salsa was 23$ + tip so a good deal. I will return to try otherdishes Read more

It took almost an hour for our flavorless food to come out. Chips were stale and without salt, kids meals were the cheapest food... with unseasoned watery beans and dry rice for $9.99 a plate. My husband wanted to sit down while we were out and he wanted totry this place. No AC on a hot day it was blazing inside. Not worth going unless nothing else in all of Monterey is closed orpacked busy. Will never come again. Read more

Mexican food, as we experience it in the U.S., is sadly, a monolith. We want fast tacos and burritos, glossing over amazing... regional flavors. Locals will say you have to go to Salinas for good Mexican food, and they?re mostly right. La Casa del Sazónreaches out to the coast and brings a taste of Michoacán to downtown Monterey. And let?s face it, you?re not likely to risk atrip to this dangerous region of Mexico for some carnitas. Fortunately, the Maravilla family will welcome you with warm, homemade tortillas, and fresh, not fast food. The Molcajete Michoacano is unlike anything you?ve had, a mind bending mashup ofmeat, cheese and cactus. If that isn?t enough excitement, tuck into a quesobirria, which will wipe all thoughts of a French Dipfrom your memory. No matter what you choose, relax into your comfy booth, soak in the friendly staff, enjoy a cocktail and getready for a meal you?ll obsess about on your insta. Read more

It was my First time to this location, since i go a lot to the one in salinas i couldn?t help comparing the food and service... from the location in salinas. There was very little staff, no one greeted us until about 4 minutes standing there. Our waitresswas very friendly, patience and professional, she kept checking on us. The food wasn?t that great, poorly taste. Specially thecamarones a la diabla, not spicy at all and they deep them in liters and liters of butter. The location is great and therestaurant is nice from inside. Read more
