Best Italian Sandwiches in town hands down. I love that they make their bread fresh daily. I?ve been coming here since I was a... little girl. I?m now in my mid 30?s. I support mom and pop shops and I admire their authentic Italian products. From pickle in abarrel offerings, Italian sodas, to cookies, wine, and more. Their deli is convenient for a quick pick up of family visiting.Great to bring for a day of watching sports. I recommend calling ahead your order for smooth pick up. They can get busy whichonly means their in high demand not short staffed. They all are amazing workers and family. It?s been great to see many familymembers throughout the years. So prices have gone up since my last visit, but I have to admit, I?m not mad. Who?s prices haven?t gone up since Covid? It?s... still a great value and they are definitely less expensive than some other sandwich spots I frequent. Anyway, don?t get nearMontebello as much as I would like anymore, so when I do, you try to grab a roast beef sando since it?s pretty unique here. Thebelieve it?s still made on the store, so you are not getting sliced up deli meat that you can get anywhere. I was also craving asub, so I got both which was a mistake. Two large sando?s for less than $18 is a deal, but I ate half the sub on my drive home,so I only had enough room for about a 1/4 of my roast beef :). Happy to have left overs, so all good there, but I definitelywill gain weight if I order like I did. Service is always spot on. This trip was a call ahead order which they said would beready on 10 mins, but told them was 20 mins away, so they said they would hold off a bit before making so it would be fresh.How cool was that. Best straight forward sandwich and prices in the San Gabriel valley for sure. I have a Italian sub option inanother city when I need it, but Tony?s is my only spot for roast beef!!!! Read more
What can I say about Tony's Deli. Located in Montebello, right down the street from Montebello High School. Used to go here for... lunch during school or after practice. Now a 4th generation runned Italian Deli. Everything hand made. This run was for theirfabulous Godfather Jr sub sandwich ???? since I was running from San Bernadino, had to pick up enough for myself and a coupleof my kids. The whole family travels far just to kill their craving for their sub sandwichs. A staple we grew up with from backin the days of growing up in ELA. A must try. Read more
The first time my friends and I went to Tony?s for lunch. We were in high school. Now some 30 years!!?? 30 YEARS!!! Wow! The... place is alway clean and people are ???? alway nice!!! The sandwiches are tasty I get the New York sandwich with extra lettuceand the potato salad. The pizza is flavorful but a little oily good though.
