Absolutely worse Shakeys I have ever been to. The lady was trying to get us to pay cash instead of card. Asked me if I was... paying card because I didn't have cash. They open at 11am, but don't start making pizza until someone pays first. That sucksfor those of us who go there during our 30 minute meal. Not sure if the drinks are included, but charged us $18.50ish for thelunch buffet. I have never been to another Shakeys that automatically charges for a drink instead of asking. I went to get a newplate and the lady looked at my old plate and said that it was clean enough for me to use again.....WHAT? I told her that Iwould like a clean plate. This plate was smaller than my original plate because I was getting salad. She was very nice, but odd.Came to our table because we had 3 shakers of peppers. She grabbed 2 of them and put them back on the counter with the other 10of them. Truthfully, this doesn't seem like a traditional Shakeys. Corporate should really take a look at this location andreconsider it as one of their locations. Really gave me a feeling of ownership being cheap and charging a lot for very little.Penny pinchers. No reputable business should be ran like this. This lady needs to stay behind the counter. Everytime you made amove, she was there watching you......we won't be going back. Read more
One thing to note about this location specifically is that they won't put your pizza in the oven until they confirm via phone... call back to you (if it's a pick up order) that you're on your way and how many minutes. You're better off telling them you'reon your way as soon as you place the phone order so you don't sit for another 15-20 mins waiting for the pizza. Otherwise itdefeats the purpose of the pick up order. You may as well just get there and order it when you arrive. I called in 2 pizzas at252pm. Arrived at 3pm and the pizzas weren't even in the oven yet. Ended up finally leaving at 330pm. The manager is a nicelady but I was very clear I was in a rush (leaving out of town.) Pizza is always hot and delicious. The staff is super friendly and helpful especiqlly the lady at the counter who answers the... phone. Love this place, will come as long as its open. Read more
My wife and I were in town visiting family and decided to stop by for lunch, and we were very impressed with the service and the... food quality. The mojos taste fresh and high quality, better than our regular location in Riverside. Anytime we are back intown, we will stop to eat here, and I recommend this place to everyone. The customer service here is EXCELLENT. They hosted our party of 6 no problem and even made fresh mojos for us. They really made... us feel like part of the family for the hour we were there. First time here and I liked it as soon as I walked in! A sweet Italian lady took our order and was soo kind & friendly! She was... engaging with us while we ordered and made us laugh and giggle. I haven't been to a Shakeys in 30+ years. The service at this location was amazing. Very nice older woman was basically running... the entire restaurant. She called me by my first name the whole evening and was so attentive, even though she was doing 100different things. She made sure to tell us the potatoes were served fresh, not frozen; she obviously took a lot of pride in herwork. The pizza was good too. Definitely coming back here. Read more
