My husband and I reached out to Sammy's to host our 25 person wedding and could not be happier with our experience. Sammy's was... so easy to coordinate our date, time, and menu with. On the day of our event Sam, Ginger, and Jamie were all so attentive to ourneeds and kind to us, our guests, & their children. They took the time to set up the private room for us with nice flowers, printed menus, and the perfect table layout. The food was outstanding with generous portions and fresh ingredients. We ordered alot of food and everything was served hot and timely. Many of our guests returned to Sammy's throughout the weekend for lunchand dinner. We will definitely be returning to Sammy's everytime that we are in Montauk. Read more

Went here for lunch on a group trip. The place was nice but the food wasn't that great. I was literally starving so I ate it but... don't think I'd return here. Best part of meal was the parfait dessert ???? Read more

This review is for Sammy?s to Go (the food truck). Amazing place to get reasonably priced delicious takeout breakfast or lunch.... And? you can sit on the beach and eat it! I can only speak about the fish tacos (I ordered 2 and they were delicious), and thefried flounder sandwich came on a toasted potato bun with delicious tartar sauce on the side. Perfect breading. Great quicklunch with a view! :) Read more

We are headed to the seafood festival and were reminded of our wonderful experience last May during the annual music festival.... The drinks and beer taps are tops, but we were hungry too! Unquestionably, the best fish and chips ever! Need I say more?Obviously, after partaking of the seafood fare at the fest, we will have to revisit Sammy?s on our next trek to Montauk. Thisplace is a standout in the area. Read more

Horrible, angry older woman and man running this place! They are most likely the owners but not sure. The man reprimanded my... husband for standing outside an open door where I asked him to wait. I went to see if there was a table available and wasgreeted by the bitter woman who asked me, "What do you want?" To my horror she ended up waiting on us also. Never with a kindgreeting, a smile or even eye contact. I might add that they weren't even busy. We saw some local "regulars" come in and theywere treated with open arms! My husband and I were treated as if THEY were doing us a favor by allowing us to eat there. Therewere a few friendly staff members who we witnessed being treated poorly by the couple also. It was a very tense environmentoverall and we couldn't wait to leave. I left a zero tip for the very first time in my life and the old woman aggressivelyapproached me and asked if I had a problem with the service. Who acts like that in the restaurant business or behaves that wayin real life?!! In closing if you are a tourist who enjoys kind, welcoming service, you should stay away from this place. Iwill say the food that we had was decent but that is the only positive. Read more

Absolute - Hands-Down Best Restaurant in Town. THE FOOD IS OUTSTANDING. If you truly want the "Montauk" experience, than Sammy's... is a "Must." Sammy is a local and so is the staff. His mom the Montauk School Kindergarten teacher for years. (Mine Too) Thebest kept secret in town - where the locals go to eat. Read more

Delicious Oktoberfest dinner at Sammy?s tonight. The food never disappoints but the Sauerbraten and Wienerschnitzel were both... exceptional. Great Montauk restaurant with great hard working people that make this place one of our local favorites. Read more

We stopped at Sammys on the go, their food truck across from Gosman's Clam bar waterside. There was a long line of locals. The... only one working was an older lady on the inside managing it all and super busy. I was very grossed out by her receiving moneyand then immediately turning around and touching food with her bare hands without washing them. Not so much as even anantibacterial pump. The menu was scarce with high priced items ranging from fish to fries. $21.99 for a "lobster roll" which wasmore like a lobster or seafood salad, I'm not entirely sure it wasn't a mix of seafood/imitation seafood, or just shreddedlobster. Not my favorite. The mahi tacos were reasonably priced at $4.95 a piece, but came from a freezer. They came in a decenttasting corn tortilla adorned with cabbage, shredded cheddar, pico mix, a lime, and an unidentifiable orange cream sauce. Theywere okay. The mozzarella cheese sticks were $6.95, your average everyday frozen to fried sticks with pre packaged marinara.Overall I was very unimpressed with their food safety practice and overpriced mediocre average old school fair food trucktaste....
