I had never been to MC Tap in Monroe center and I have to say not only is it a really cute bar, but the food was amazing. We... started out with corn bite's and they were so good. Nice, quaint bar nestled in the heart of town. We went there to see a friend's band perform on a Friday evening. It's kinda... difficult to even know you're at the right place because we couldn't find a sign other than a few beer signs in the windows. The outside of the establishment is pretty low key however the inside definitely is done up better. Big bar with a long counterthat seats probably 30 or so people. There's also several tables around the outside so bigger parties can gather. The band setup and played at the far end of the bar and there was plenty of room for them and the few of us that chose to dance. They had afew drink specials that we took advantage of and were very happy with our bacon cheeseburger that we shared. The bartenderswere friendly and very attentive doing their best to make sure we always had a drink. We had a great time there and woulddefinitely return if we happened across the area once again. My daughter stopped and picked up a burger for me on her way back from Peoria. I had to warm it up but it was delicious and... massive. The cook put a personal message on the bag when my daughter told her she was taking it home for her mom. The messagewas in fuschia colored sharpie and it said " MADE w/LOVE For Teresa :) Read more
