Ate here last weekend and had an outstanding dining experience. Not only was the food excellent, but the employees were some of... the kindest and most professional people my family and I have encountered in any customer service industry. First of all the lady who served me was super friendly. I tried some brisket and pork spare ribs. Brisket was very delicious... and tender. Spareribs were full size cuts. Texture-wise, they were well cooked and very tender. Taste-wise however, it wasn'tperfectly seasoned so I added some salt, which was fine. The only thing that I'd have to pick on: it tasted a bit oily and theoil tasted like vegetable oil, which wasn't so pleasant. My guess is that they use the oil to keep moisture. Maybe I am wrong,but I hope they could switch to lard or tallow. Read more
Wonderful family owned business! Stopped on our way through and totally worth it. My husband had the brisket sandwich with Mac n... cheese. I had the pulled pork combo with cowboy cavier and the most delicious cornbread with a honey cinnamon butter. Sorry nopictures, was too excited to eat but highly recommended and worth the stop. What a gem of a place! The customer service right off the bat was fantastic and the woman behind the counter answered all our... questions and made some great suggestions. The food was absolutely stunning. The brisket just falls apart with this killercrust. The cornbread comes with a honey cinnamon butter made in house that takes it to the next level, and the homemade bakedbeans have just the right amount of flavor. That isn't even to mention the homemade BBQ sauces that come in mild and spicy. Bothhave great flavor and the spicy has just enough kick, but it's not your typical kick from a sauce. SO.GOOD. Sooo dang good!! Reds and gravy are a must (first thing we cleared on our plate)!! Corn bread and cinnamon honey butter; soo... good! Meat (for both brisket and Tri-tip) is fantastic!! And Tina was so friendly and generous with samples. We actually triedevery side and were impressed with everything!! If we didn?t live out of state, we?d be regulars here for sure!! So dang yum!!!
