While there BBQ is normally good, the pick up service has alot to be desired. I ordered a pulled pork platter at 6:03. The order... was supposed to be ready for pick up at 6:33. I pull in at 6:35 and get told it's not quite ready, please pull around. At 6:59 Irecieve my food only to get home to open the container and there was no corn bread, bbq sauce and the greens had no signs ofpork what so ever. I tried to calling the store but after a minute of ringing with no answer, I hung up. Read more

Absolutely some of the best bbq I've had since leaving Texas 5 yrs ago. The brisket and sausage link was amazing. Our hostess... was wonderful with her recommendations and her great attitude. Will definitely be coming back soon. Read more

I wish I could give it 100 stars! This place is the best bbq I've ate I'm years! And I'm from Lexington NC so I know BBQ! I... can't even begin to describe how the brisket just melted in my mouth. And the deviled potato salad is perfect, the broccolisalad is perfect but the banana pudding well it's heavenly! If you haven't ate here, you owe it to yourself to do so! If I diedtomorrow, I'd be okay with life if this was my last meal! Mad love and respect to establishment! Thank you for the veryenjoyable and most wonderful dinner I've had in a very long time!!!!!! I always enjoy The Smoke Pit , I like the food here especially the burnt ends , smoked turkey , pinto beans , red slaw, potato... casserole are favorites. We have good service here . My only advice is to put silverware on table when seating guests or whengetting order. We had our food tonight & had to wait for silverware to be rolled . Also food has been cold on a few visits hereso an effort to get it out hot is needed . Read more

I ordered the sloppy pig because you are what you eat. Alright, you can now take a breath and compose yourself after reading... that knee slapper of a joke. I went through the drive thru on Dec 23, 2021. I ordered 2 full racks of ribs with potato salad and fried okra. The ribs were so... tough we couldn?t even eat them. The top was chard but the meat was undercooked and nowhere near falling off the bone. You couldnot even pull them off the bone until I put them in a pan with a little water in the bottom and cooked them on 275 in the ovenfor another hour and a half. After that they were very good. But there was nothing I could do for the okra. It was completelyover cooked and actually tasted like it had been left over from lunch and maybe put down in the deep fryer again to heat themup. They were completely inedible. On one of the orders we actually got two sides of okra and on the other we got one side. Allthree were terrible. All of this costed more than $68! It was definitely not worth it especially if I?m gonna have to cook myown ribs. I?ll buy them at the grocery store from now on! Read more

Great place! The brisket appetizer will feed five people. The tres Amigos is the best way to get a good sampling. The sauces... are all just right depending what you like. This was a rare find. Read more
