We made reservations here after my wife?s college graduation, I called a few days before and they were more than willing to... accommodate our group of 15 people. Service was literally some of the best I?ve ever had especially considering a fullrestaurant and a large table. Everyone got from chicken over pasta to shrimp and grits and we all had clean plates at the end!Would highly recommend the BBQ shrimp with Crispy grits, goes down as some of the best I?ve ever had! First time going because I was on the hunt for shrimp and grits. Google shrimp & grits and this restaurant pulled up. Decided to... take the drive since Cottons shrimp & grit is much higher if it?s not lunch time. ???? The staff was extremely nice, I wasreally impressed, but the shrimp and grit was not good at all. The grits were more like mashed potatoes, sadly I only ate theshrimps. Man was I disappointed. It was too runny, no consistency at all. 22.00 wasted. Read more

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Fat pelican. Ore office had our annual Christmas party there and the service was... fantastic and the food was amazing. My wife and I got the specials. The BBQ SHRIMP BOURBON SAUCE WAS THE BEST THING! Read more
Full disclosure: this review was a 4/5 until I saw that Captain America watches you go to the bathroom. That bumps it up. I had... a Burger, medium rare, with an egg sunny side up, cheese and bacon and a loaded baked potato. My wife had BBQ shrimp with afried grits ball. The burger was very good, if messy thanks to the egg (which isn't a complaint). Baked potato was good, buteven though it was hot, it didn't melt the cheese very well; some types of cheese don't melt super easy. The shrimp were alittle plain, which implies most of the flavor comes from the BBQ sauce, which was good but very fishy. The fried grits weredelicious. As an appetizer, we had cheese and bacon fries with sour cream and a side of ranch. While they look a little plain,they are actually delicious also; the cheese sauce was very good (it had dripped to the bottom of the fry pile). Overall a nicehybrid casual restaurant with a nice taste; the decor was tasteful, but the staff were comfortable in T-shirts and jeans. And,most importantly of all, Captain America watch you potty.
