Being vegan, Mexican restaurants are typically easy to go to with friends and family and customize. I had veggie fajitas & the... vegetables were amazing! I even took them home to reheat. It was easy to ask that dairy be removed and accommodated. Whilethere we ordered 2 for 1 margaritas- great value, especially for the size! I will say stick to traditional - as the flavors aresyrup based and not the best. The BEST guacamole ever! I ordered the table side made fresh and was ecstatic! Flavorful and sofresh! It's always a challenge to find good, authentic Mexican food. But these folks at Don Tomás have nailed it, and then some. When... I first got here, I had to do a double take to make sure the place was open: the windows were dark and the Open sign was off. Itdidn't help that I was the only car in the parking lot. Appearances can be deceiving! Inside, the hostess was quite friendly. Itook a seat at the bar, and ordered the fish taco platter with some guac and a Dos Equis. I got a complimentary plate of nachosand salsa with it. The food was even better than I imagined. Paired with the drink, it was the perfect after-work dinner.Definitely recommend it! Read more
This was the second time we've eaten here, and I'm not sure why we haven't tried it again sooner. Everything we ordered tasted... really good. I ordered cheese enchiladas, and this is one of the only Mexican restaurants in the area that uses a cheese blendthat actually has some stretch to it which I prefer. They were doing two for one margaritas since it was a Thursday, and thosewere also very good. We will definitely be choosing this restaurant again when we want some good Mexican food. Read more
The best quesadilla I've had in Monroe! Got steak quesadilla with Mexican bean dip. Both were excellent. Quesadilla filled with... steak & Monterey jack cheese. The dip was topped with chorizo, jalapeños, & jack cheese. Their salsa was also very good. Read more
