I love this place. There meatloaf is amazing. It's a great place to eat and do your Grocery shopping afterwards.
PSA... think back to your first experience with magic... got it? Good, now multiply that by 5, and add 10. That is how you'll... feel when you bite the peppercorn steakhouse burger. I recommend dipping your fries into their blue cheese dressing and thenbiting that delectable burger. I'm pretty sure this burger is the new fountain of youth. I know I feel younger already. It is a tradition among us employees here at The Southern Ox Axe Throwing? to eat a yardbird (dubbed the ?yard dawg?) every... weekend. It is glorious. Several debates have broken out about whether fries or hand-cut chips work better as a side item, butone bite into the sandwich itself resolves any harsh feelings that may lead to conflict. Get the yard dawg as a wrap if you wanta clean eating experience, get it on sourdough if you want to meet God himself. The pimento cheese melts in your mouth, thebacon adds an extra kick of flavor, and the collard greens fit right in with the overall taste of the meal that you don?t evenrealize a healthy food is inside your sandwich. We just moved to Bethlehem and decided to drive to Monroe to explore. We stumbled across John's Supermarket in which Bistro... South is located in the grocery store. The food is made fresh to order. We ordered our meals togo. The cashier was friendly. Thefood was delicious!! I ordered the Peppercorn Steakhouse Burger with pimento cheese fries. It was sooo delicious! The bistro is inside John?s Supermarket and the food and service is excellent. We moved to Monroe nine months ago and have been... wanting to see what John?s Supermarket was all about and we found Bistro South. There were so many choices that we wanted totry so we ended up with a hodgepodge. Fried green Tomatoes were excellent, the Club Sandwich was amazing, the pork egg rollswere awesome and the potato salad was just plain good. We will definitely return. Read more
The food was very good. Definitely better than I expected for a restaurant that's inside a grocery store. The service was... quick and friendly, and there is plenty of seating that doesn't make it feel crowded. Read more

Had a great breakfast sandwhich (sourdough, fried chicken, white cheese, tomato and over medium egg). Coffee was also great.... Everyone was very kind and proffesional. I look forward to trying their lunch. Read more
