Service was fine even with short staff. Was disappointed they couldn't make sandwiches due to short staff. We left with a large... supreme pizza instead. Under new management and very disappointed. Unorganised and chaotic. After we sat down, it was 10 mins before anyone brought us... menus, after that another 20 mins before I had to go to a waitress and ask for someone to take our order. We watched at least 20people walk out the door without service within this time frame. Read more
Went today with a friend and our kids and we had 2 separate checks - but ordered at the same time. Her order of pizza came out... fast, but it took 20 or 30 more minutes after the pizza was dropped off for our order of 2 subs to come out. Meatball and agrill chicken sub - all stuff that would not have had to be cooked to assemble other than heating up the meatball sub (Otherthan the fries we substitute fornthe chips). Both subs were super dry and the meatballs hard. When I mentioned the poor foodquality as well as the large delay in getting our food to the waitress, she apologized and said they had been backed up withorders. But by the time we had gotten our food, my friend and her kid had already finished their food. They were full when wefirst got there, but all inside tables were already eating. Today they were not short staffed as I saw 3 different ladies upfront managing the tables and register. I'm pretty certain that they just forgot our order in the back. The meatball sub wasinedible. I dont go there often, but have never had such bad food the other times I went. The only good part of the servicetoday was the waitress did keep our drinks filled and she was nice. But I had to go ask for silverware, find my own bottle ofketchup since our table and the tables surrounding mine all had empty bottles, and we also had to ask multiple times for a boxand our checks. Unfriendly staff, if you sit outside you have to walk inside to order and pay immediately. Asked for sweet tea and was told no... because I am sitting outside I have to get a can soda. No cups for tea or water but they will serve beer in a cup to takeoutside. Pizza wasn?t the best either. This place used to be amazing but it has gone downhill. Read more
My family?s first time to SML. How wonderful and beautiful. I do want to share my first negative experience. Pizza pub! After... reading all the mixed reviews we loaded the boat and yellow dog. ( as all their sites and ads say pet friendly) Not true. I waswaiting to be seated with wife and dog still on the dock. I was yelled at for not standing behind the yellow stripe on thefloor. Then I witnessed the cardboard kindergarten signs ?no dogs? Asked about this and Ken confirmed. No dogs ! I don?t careabout no dogs or a change in policy. actually deserves 0 stars went this evening was yelled at to stand behind some tape line by a rude waiter then told it was not... dog friendly although web site told otherwise simply told website was outdated and told to leave, no problem will not return towhat seemed to be a cheap tourist trap sorry we wasted our time to visit. Fries were perfectly cooked. Not greasy. Garlic cheesy bread was on point. Now, the pizza...it was great tasting. We asked... for it to be crunchy and came out perfectly cooked. Ask for Dylan. We have been coming to this place for years and enjoy bringing friends and grandchildren as well when we keep them at our place... on the lake. The pizza has always been very good as has been other menu items when ordered. This most recent visit wasdisappointing and probably our last unless things improve...two adult beverages and 4 kid's drinks along with two large pizzaswere purchased. The pizzas were good as usual. We normally eat outside and did so this trip; however there was no service there.Had to go inside and order and pay upfront. The food was delivered to us outside but when asked for glasses of water for thetable, we were told that could not be done any longer; if you want water you have to buy it! In my opinion, it would be betterto up the price of food and still hand out free tap water than to take away the water...if trying to keep up with inflation andrising costs. I wanted to only give one star but the waitress was apologetic and nice and professional and the food was stillgood; so a two star rating is all I can give. Read more
