Reviews for Catch22 Lobster Bar in Moncton, NB
Was visiting Moncton and wanted to find something that I couldn?t get back home in Calgary. Wasn?t interested in a chain... restaurant. Found this place with the help of Google Maps. Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect. The great service started when Ifirst walked in the door where I was greeted with a smile and led straight to a table. Enjoyed a pint of beer that I can?t getat home. I can?t remember the name of it, but it was an ale. Then ordered the Fisherman?s Platter. It was so good. Then thewaitress talked me into a crème brûlée and I don?t very often eat dessert, but this one was worth it! Highly recommend. Read more

At first I was really looking forward to this place. The reviews was solid and it was our FIRST stop continuing and trying with... other seafood restaurants. For me it was disappointing - as we ordered the Catch22 Fisherman platter which half lobster, scallop, haddock and crab cake. The crab cake was the worst I?ve ever had. Didn?t seem to have any crab cake in it or was justover cooked. The shrimp was not fresh as it didn?t have the crispness and I?ve eaten many shrimps before. The haddock was okaybut compared to other haddocks at PEI restaurants doesn?t match up. Lobster was fine but with all the sauce you couldn?t reallyenjoy the freshness. Honestly - if it?s your first seafood platter it?s okay but compared to other seafood lobster dinners it?saverage at best. Read more
It was a Saturday night and full, some empty tables but reserved. In no time all the tables were occupied. Thankfully we were... given a table just the same. Our dinner consists of the Fisherman?s platter which has half lobster, shrimps, scallops, breadedhaddock and crab cakes. We also tried their Lobster roll. It has chunks of lobster meat on a toasted bun with mayo and celery, served with fries. Finally we also had Rockefeller oyster. It was creamy, salty and distinctly savory. Our meals were absolutelydelicious. It was a bit pricey but was all worth it. Our server, Emilie was prompt, friendly and attentive to our needs. Me andmy wife had a great evening and we were glad to have the opportunity to eat at Catch-22. Overall I?m rating it four spoons outof five. ???????????????? Read more
Plating was very nice. Disappointed that the appys with sauces did not come with bread to dunk so you could get every drop. ... Instead they told us to buy garlic bread. For the price of the items, dunking bread not available, imagine! Server wasfriendly and helpful. Sad that 2 craft beer was in cans. Strangely very noisy. Read more
Would not recommend. Food was average. Desserts were good. Ordered the lobster dinner for $49, and it barely had any meat on it... (would maybe fit in a palm of a hand). We showed the sever what we had been provided, and the response we got was ?well it?smarket price and they are small this time of year?. Read more
Excellent seafood restaurant in downtown Moncton. Great service and cozy booths. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time as... this is a popular restaurant and is always busy. Everything tasted amazing particularly the seafood pasta. Desserts aredelicious and the flambé is done right at your table. It's a fun to watch it being made. Highly recommend this restaurant!
