So disappointed. Used to get food from them years ago and it was delicious but they seem to lack that taste I'm used to. Bought... some food for my mom's bday and it was awful. Ordered 3 knuckle sandwiches that were hard as ACTUAL knuckles. There was nothingtender about the meat whatsoever. Called them about it and they told us to come the next morning to give us some fresher onessince they were not only hard but tasted old. We did so and were basically given the same ones if not worse. A waste of moneyand gas given we live on the other side of town. Total let down. Not to mention the lackluster attitude. Will not be buyingagain. Read more
Average. Nothing insane. Got a pulled pork sandwich, fries, and Cole slaw. Pulled pork didn't have much flavor alone. The BBQ... seemed vinegar based. It was decide. Fries are not house made. Slaw was good. Prices seemed high for what it was. Read more
What great food!! No fast food here! It tastes like I cooked it with love, in my own kitchen! And the restaurant itself may be... the cleanest restaurant I have ever been in! Me and my coworkers frequent this place daily about 3 times a week for lunch, since they are around the corner, the food is... always good and they have daily lunch specials. The pricing is good for what you get. Those complaining about their prices beingdifferent, it depends on what you get and how you pay, using a credit card there is a 3.5% charge up for using card, so justbring cash. I myself will continue to eat here for lunch as much as I can since it is a family owned business and they treatyou very well when you're a return customer and they know you first name basis. Be... ready for some of the best BBQ I've ever had ... and I'm from Texas, have a smoker, and cook on it all the time. I'm not makingthis up. Their chicken, pork and ribs are some of the best I've ever had. The okra as a side dish is required (thank me later).This place is an American institution. Walk inside, take a look around. I really like the menu choices. I went during lunch. I ordered the rib tips with fried green tomatoes, mac-n-cheese, corn bread... and a water. There was sauce on the side. The sauce was really delicious! The staff was friendly. It wasn't packed but there wasa steady stream of customers. I could take my time and enjoy. I would recommend this place to others.
