I really wasn't impressed nor my friends at this meal. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The wait was long for our food... and was served warm not hot. I ordered the steak which was very chewy. I ordered it medium rare and the cook was fine butsomething about to meet made it very chewy. My friends love the place so I will probably give them a chance again in the future.I know times are hard with people being understaffed. We stopped in for a late dinner and ordered from their $45 dinner for 2 menu and it was fantastic. The meal started with a loaf... of bread with dipping oil then we each had a garden salad to start. It was the best salad! Kalamata olives, pepitas, tomatoes,and a citrus vinegarette - delicious! I ordered one of their special items Pineapple Shrimp with jasmine rice. It had an islandfeel to it with just a hint of pineapple and was delicious. My husband enjoyed the rainbow trout with jasmine rice and broccoliwith their chimmichurri sauce. The sauce was strong but added a nice accent to the fish. He enjoyed his meal. We spilt a pieceof cheesecake with raspberry sauce. It wasn't my favorite but was good. Service was excellent! I ordered Sea Bass originally but it was nasty. Then I exchanged it for Mahi Mahi which was better but not awesome. The fish... portions were small. My husband ordered me 2 different alcoholic drinks ???? ???? which made me rather sick to my stomach. That never happens. The creamed spinach was OK. The Mac n cheese was good. Our server, Annette was great! The smoked old fashioned cocktail was very good, the crushed pineapple martini was a little bit... too sour and lemony-tasting- reminded me of a lemon drop martini. Rainbow trout was on point, Bonefish signature pasta withsalmon was pretty good- the salmon part was well-seasoned and tasty, but the pasta had a little bit too much cumin for my taste,and reminded me of an armpit. Baring the wait for our server, and time to get our food (I?ll explain), this visit was a good visit. There was frustration... involved, but I?ll explain why, because I don?t know that I see our troubles getting frequently replicated. Our first troublewas simply getting waited on. We were brought to a table almost right away. However, we had staff member after staff memberpassing by, and not one acknowledged our existence. They were understaffed, so that didn?t help either. We didn?t even know whowas supposed to stop and serve us. After about 20 minutes, I was ready to leave if something didn?t change. I got up and walkedaround until I found a staff member, and told them we had been waiting forever, and to see if they could find out who wassupposed to help us. Finally a gal came out and said it wasn?t her area, but she?d found that no one was currently assigned tothe area or table that we were at, so she would help us. So, this was a simple oversight, that I?m guessing doesn?t happenoften, so we let that pass. The 2nd issue was the wait time for the food. This we were told was both in part due to beingunderstaffed (a current American epidemic as we all know), and also they had a large multi-table group order ahead of us. Soagain, not something you?re going to run into all the time. So over all I?m guessing you likely won?t experience either of ourissues, and if so, maybe one or the other. So I?m still calling this a good experience baring those 2 things. Our waitress wasexceptional. She made sure she took care of us well. Both in her personality, good attitude and doing her job well. Perhaps itwas because she knew we had the issues, but doesn?t matter, she did very well. Food was also very good.
