It saddens me to have to leave this review. I was hoping for better. My mother and I went to have lunch and with only 2 servers... and 2 cooks...we waited for about 1.5 hours for our food. It also took a while for silverware to be brought to the table. Weboth ordered the taste of soul plate and some macaroni and cheese. When our food arrived, my sweet potatoes and my macaroniwerent hot. The flavor was good it just wasn't hot. I asked the waiter to heat up my macaroni bc it was cold. It took 30 minutesand me asking 2 more people about my macaron before I actually received it. The ambiance of the place and service need a lot ofwork for those prices. I feel like the servers were doing the best they could and they were friendly... But the ability todeliver food in a timely fashion was lacking. The people next to us... All got their food except for one person who had to getit to go because they brought it out after the others were done. We watched a waitress flip a table cloth over rather thanreplacing it with a new one after a table left and the plates and glasses were cleared. We were very disappointed in theservice and will not be back. I blame management for the lack of service. The new location needs a remodel and updating. Newsignage is also needed. The ability to order and pay online is clever, but that should make service even faster and it didn't.They added a 20% gratuity automatically and it was not a 20%/gratuity situation. I hope customers will demand better service andI hope this feedback will be put to good use to improve the customer experience for others. Read more
Two stars for the food. I ordered the catfish and shrimp meal, none of which was anything to write home about. Both the... catfish and shrimp were heavily floured, with minimal seasoning. We also ordered hot wings, which were hard and seriously overcooked, we tried to eat them but decided our teeth were more important. To order, you must scan a QR code and order via theToast app. Initially I wasn’t thrilled by this process, but decided it was a convenient way to order. Plus, it made iteasier to order additional items from the bar or kitchen. One problem with this method…our server didn’t stop by our tableto check to see if we needed anything else. We had to flag down other servers for items, such as eating utensils, glass forbeer, napkins, hot sauce, etc. We did enjoy a fantastic concert, and I will return to enjoy others, but would not stop by toeat. First time being at Sugar’s. I must say it was really enjoyable, it was cozy and very entertaining experience. The Food was... great, the staff was very nice and tentative. Not to pricey. Hands free menu that you use by QR code on your on personal phone.If your Claustrophobic don’t attend it’s a up close and personal entertainment. Well worth the admission. Me and my wifeywill be attending again in the near future.. Read more
If you are ready for a good time, great music and a memorable brunch come to Sugars. We loved the various food options and... mimosas. Can't wait to visit in the evening . Shrimp and grits, collard greens, chicken & waffles just a few of the deliciousitems. Read more

The food was great, we had the loaded fries and catfish & grits. We went early evening on a Saturday and there was no crowd. The... thing I disliked was there was no host to greet us. We stood there waiting as the workers were laughing and talking amongthemselves, I think management needs to do a better job with having everyone in position and ready to go when customers walkthrough the doors. Its just good business practice. Despite that issue, I'm still going to be generous and give this place 5stars because the food did not disappoint. Read more
