This place is great. As soon as you walk in there are great vibes and the ladies behind the counter are super friendly. I... ordered the curry goat with rice and peas and it put every other curry goat dish I've had to shame. They're typically moresavory and sweet in most places, but this one had a good kick that really elevated the dish. Whenever I go for Caribbean Ialways ask for side oxtail gravy and dumplings. The gravvy was delicious and the dumplings melt in your mouth. I'm not acoleslaw fan so I got the macaroni salad instead. Most places I don't care if their salads are good or not, but the macaronisalad here was very fresh and great on its own. I have no complaints at all. Will be back for the oxtail next. Read more

Hello foodies, today I bring you another Caribbean food review. Because of my love for Caribbean cuisine, I have to been to... almost all the Caribbean restaurants or takeout joints in the GTA, so this place was on my must-visit list! I finally made itaround to stopping in for some lunch since I was in the area. I was really looking forward to trying their food since I readsome pretty good reviews from some of the elite reviewers here. This review is based solely on the items I ordered and no otherdishes from this place. I have a lot of experience with the typical Caribbean dishes as I frequent these restaurants on aweekly bases so I do have quite the reference to compare. The dishes I got were the Oxtail over white rice medium size and I had to order a side order of the macaroni salad as I read such good things about it. With your meal, they throw in acomplimentary small cup of coleslaw. FOOD 3/5 Now I don?t know how some of the elite reviewershere gave this food such highratings, either they have not been to other much better Caribbean restaurants in the GTA or it's their personal preference intaste, but my honest review is far off from theirs for several reasons. Oxtail was by far the best of my meal however being thebest does not mean it was fabulous, I must say it was extremely tender very well cooked fall of the bone, but it lacked flavorand those fabulous Caribbean/Jamaican spices, the best way I can describe it, is the oxtail it was on the bland side comparedthe way oxtail is usually prepared the Jamaican way full of spiciness and some heat. So average at best as far asflavor. I had Akee and salt fish with fried dumplins, and a beef roti. The serving sizes were generous and reasonably priced.

Recently visited Wanda's Kitchen as it has been on the list for a while and cant say enough about this place. We had the BBQ &... Jerk Chicken on rice with a BBQ sauce and a Curry Ox Tail sauce on the rice which gave it a nice little kick.This food is superdelicious and the Macaroni salad is to dye for , portions are nice and prices fair. This is one of the best Caribbean food restaurants I've been to in the GTA. I go here anytime I'm in the area and get the... chance. All of the food is so flavourful, I can't say there are any dishes that could taste better. The portions are good. Ilove the fact that ypu can choose macaroni or coleslaw as a side because the macaroni salad is AMAZING ????.
