Very underwhelming experience at this Rec Room location. Would have been 1 star had it not been for the rectification by the... main manager (see below). Between cold food, long wait times, warm beers, and below average service, there wasn’t really muchthat went well during our visit. The server wasn’t overly knowledgeable on menu and drinks items which made ordering a bitdifficult. 4 drinks took over 25 minutes, and two of them sat at the bar until the rest were finished (the beer and cider werewarm by the time they came to us). The burgers and fries came out cold and were dry, lacking flavour. Two guests had incorrectorders come out missing chicken, which took 20 minutes to be corrected. A drink was spilled on my friend, which thankfully itwas a clear drink as she was wearing white pants. We spoke to two managers regarding our experience and after a few back andforth conversations they were able to rectify the issues with 25% off food item and free 1 hour unlimited play passes for thearcade games. One manager was professional and apologised for the issues, the other didn’t seem too impressed by ourcomplaints. Reasoning given were: fridge circuit breaks, a big party going on in the other room, and not enough staff. I wouldprobably skip out on this place and go to Dave & Busters instead or the Rec Room location in Toronto. Read more
A decent place to hang out with friends and family. They can serve different purposes from arcade games to pools and bowling to... dining and even event hosting. Some amenities seem to be outdated a little bit or need better maintenance. Came for a few Monday night happy hour drinks. Decided to come to The Rec Room for axe throwing, and games to get some sad... friends happy. Ate and drink at the bar upstairs and Mike the bartender was great. He provided great tasting drinks, and helpfulsuggestions. Highly recommended venue! Read more
Great place for Arcade Games, Axe Throwing, Kids Birthday Party Celebration and small group event meetings. They also have ping... pong table tennis and Snow Bowling. A place to hang out with kids and also for a date. However the food is average, not thatgreat. This is a place for entertainment only. Read more
A great set-up at this venue. It has a bar area, nice sit-down restaurant area, private rooms for meetings/gatherings, ax... throwing, a small music venue stage, VR, private ping-pong rooms and lots of arcade games. My only issue is that the price ofthese places is getting unaffordable as you'll often spend $40-70 per child per visit because the games are so expensive. Theyalso can't have more than 3/4 pinballs unfortunately. This location has the best set-up of any Rec Room I've visited and hadexcellent friendly service as well. Read more
There were 8 of us including children so quite a few different tastes when it came to ordering our meals. It was a Monday... evening the dining area was not packed but there were lots of people eating as well as at the bar. Melissa was our server andshe ROCKED. It was challenging for her as there were only 3 servers (that we saw) for the whole dining area, but she got all ourorders right, saw to it that we had everything we needed during the meal and checked on us constantly. The food was very good.Burgers were awesome, pizza for the kids was a hit, chicken wings, chicken club sandwich, everything was fresh and verytasty. We always get the pretzel when we go to the Rec room - food was good, service was quick once we got a table (everything was... reserved) when we reached so we had to wait for our reservation which was 1.5 hrs later - so make sure you’re booking areservation ahead of time if time is of essence. Location is great, it’s right within square one. Many different gameoptions, definitely a nice fun place to hangout with any age group. It was busy but not to the extent where we felt unsafe inany way, everyone had their masks and they checked for vaccination proof prior to entry (they accepted photos of our ID). Goodexperience and will return for the games. A suggestion would be for substitutions of food maybe the kitchen can offer morevariety. A friend ordered the chicken club sandwich without the bread / bacon - essentially just wanted a lettuce wrap sandwichbut what arrived was the toppings on the chicken, shredded lettuce above it and the sauce, so his meal did seem quiteunsatisfactory. Downstairs is where all the fun is at especially on a Friday night in Sauga. Had dinner and played pool with a group of friends... at the top. The service was pretty good. The food tastes great but little portions. The arcade and bowling area is lots of funand worth the visit. You might catch a stage performance from artistes too. Read more
