Reviews for Kolachi Inn in Mississauga, ON
We hosted a party of over 50 people here and had a great experience, definitely recommend Kolachi Inn for any small gatherings... you want to host with ease! ???????????????? Malick the owner was very helpful and flexible to accommodate our requests and planout the event and menu. A huge shoutout to Sukwinder and Pernoj who went above and beyond to make sure our guests were welcome, party hall was setup and food served on time ???????????????? Our guests loved the food, especially the Veal qorma, BihariTikka and Rabri Kheer! Their party hall is located on 2nd floor and was very modern looking, bathrooms are also separateupstairs. Entrance door is also separate towards the side of restaurant shown in pic. It was a self-serve model (guests get foodfrom buffet style tables, pick up their own plates) and the restaurant took care of the basic table decor, seats layout, foodprep/heating up, cleaning dishes etc. One thing to note is that for parties you need to remind their employees when to bringout each of the meals (ie starters, dinner, dessert) to ensure everything runs on time. Excellent food, reasonable prices and the politest of customer service. BBQ & Karahi order takes 30 minutes so order ahead. Try... out the Kolachi Grill Platter. It comes with almost all of their bbq menu most of which is very tasty. Chicken Tikka, Bihariboti & Malai boti were excellent. Gola Kabab were ok. Kolachi Desi Platter is more for curry dishes. It comes with delicious &good portion of Chicken Karahi. There is also Beef Haleem which is ok. And Veal Korma, which is good. The spices are mild so itwill fit most people's taste buds. In dessert, Kheer was excellent. We tried their weekend Nashta, however it is just ok'ish. Not a fan of their rice either. We will stick with BBQ & Karahi in future visits. Read more
We ordered regular breakfast platter, anda paratha and bong paya. Breakfast platter was good, quantity not so huge but tastes... good, it came with a chai. Anda paratha looks very bigger in picture, but reality not so big. Regular size. Bong paya was good.Overall a good place to have halal food. Read more
Kolachi Inn is a great place for puri halwa on the weekend. Easy access parking lot and they have a dining room upstairs. There... were 3 of us and we really enjoyed it. They give you a generous portion of aloo, chenna?s, and halwa accompanied by 2 puri?s.The surprise bonus is that they include keema and even 2 cups of chai too! We also ordered paratha and omelette. Everything cameto our table fresh and hot. Nothing was greasy and the halwa was super smooth and made perfectly delicious! I would suggestordering a couple more puri?s as you won?t want to leave any leftovers. Read more
Very bad service / not clean / average food Today I visited this place for first time after looking at good reviews and was... very The place was short of staff. Only two unprofessional service staff who were trying their best. Place was unclean.Bathroom had not toilet roll or tissue paper and dirt all around. It took over 15 mins to take our order and another 60 mins toserve food. I guess Kitchen was also short of staff. Took over 40 mins to give us water after a lot of followup. We orderedHalwa Puri which is good but grill was below average. Our Gola Kebab was over cooked and chicken was just ok. We ordered Lassiwhich is too creamy. How can a restaurant go wrong with Lassi? Over all a very bad experience and when we complained servicestaff asked us to talk to owner which we could not find. A big cross in my places to visit?. Read more
Kolachi Inn was a delightful surprise. The food is fresh, delicious and portions are generous. We tried their chicken karahi and... bihari boti, both were amazing! Their butter and garlic naans are to die for too. Would definitely visit again and recommend toothers. Read more
ordered bihari & beef paye. bihari taste & aroma wise was great. Only thing that could be improved was to make sure its all red... onions in there because the top had red onions and everything under was the yellow ones i wasnt thrilled abt that. its a biggerbox of garnish compared to other restaurants (5/5) but the garnish amount is not sufficient for the box of paye it comeswith. beef paye was okay-ish the stickyness wasnt just there what paye is known for. it was just like a regular salan/curry.The amount of meat and the actual paye was in sufficient amount. We rode our bikes from downtown Toronto early on a Saturday morning, specifically to enjoy the Pakistani breakfast (something... we?re a little deprived of downtown!) at Kolachi Inn. The ride there and back was worth it. The location is small, but cleanenough. And there is thankfully plenty of parking space just outside it. Service was very friendly, but certainly on the slowerside. That said, it was very crowded when we arrived with large families visiting at the same time. Based on my experience, thepatrons can be quite loud, which does detract from the experience. The food was delicious, though the portions are a little onthe smaller/unbalanced side- if you?re ordering the halwa puri breakfast, you will likely need to order extra puri orparatha. We?d definitely come back again though. A slightly generous 4.5 / 5 For recipes, follow me on Instagram@yamisohungry For more restaurants, follow me at @yamisofoodie Read more
