Really quaint cafe in the heart of Streetsville. Their butter tarts are quite delicious and there were so many flavours to... choose from! We appreciated the finishing touch, with the tarts that we tried having a slightly torched finished top. The tartpastry was rich and buttery too. They also over mini tart options (think two bite size). If you are looking for your bestbutter tart in the GTA, you should check this out! While it was their butter tarts that drew me into visiting, their lunch menualso caught my attention. I ended up ordering a lunch combo - around $11-$12 for a pie and soup and drink/dessert option. Thecarrot ginger soup was made in house and the beef pie was filling. I was told the sandwiches are amazing so I will revisit inthe near future. Quick and friendly service; cozy sitting space. Great female owned bakery, known for its award winning butter tarts, but has so much more! Great bread made on site daily,... catering for lunches available, and creative cakes for all occasions. Highly recommended! Read more
Everything from Kate's is amazing. You will not be disappointed. As soon as you walk in, you get that glorious sweet smell of... their baking! All of the butter tarts and scones are delicious. I recommend bringing home a sampling if you've never been herebefore. Read more
Kate?s has become my favourite bakery since I discovered it a few years ago! The staff is always very friendly and the food is... all amazing, but I especially enjoy the sandwiches on their fresh baked bread. Oh and the oatmeal triple chocolate cookies don?tdisappoint. I went to Kate?s first thing in the morning today before I jetted off to work. The butter tarts are ????ah-maaaa-zing ???? -... that?s my heart singing. ???? My exact thoughts were : ?Wow these were definitely baked with love.? ?It?s such a Canadianthing to eat sweets for breakfast. Everyone should eat dessert for breakfast. Kate's has great scones! Scones are one of my favourite treats so Kate's is a great place to get but go early because they do... sell out after midday. I called a day ahead and placed an order for a dozen because I knew my family and I wanted them for thenext day. They also have other great treats like their squares. Their tarts are pretty good but the one time I had them I foundthem to be a little sweet. Overall great local bakery with friendly staff. Read more
Cozy little bake shop decorated with cute little teapots on the wall ???? i tried their butter tarts and they are delicious!... Nice flaky crust and with chewy caramel butter filling ???? their shortbread cookies are yummy too! I hear their sausage rollsare amazing also, must go back to try one! Read more
