Their food is delicious. The tomato jam that goes with the mozzarella stick is unreal. We had the shrimp po boy with sweet... potato fries. The fries and dipping sauce were delicious. I was here with 3 friends on Saturday, and we ordered chicken waffles to go. Once we got into the car literally 4 minutes later... the waffles was soggy because the chef thought it was a good idea to put the coleslaw on top of the waffle.... i mean who intheir right mind thought that was a good idea. I called the restaurant and was assured someone would contact me before i madethis review, but it seems they dont care about my experience that i had at their restaurant. I had to spit out the food almostthrowing up in my own car.. i spent over 45$, this is very disappointing as this place had some good reviews. I've walked by Blackjack BBQ for quite a while now. I finally decided to give it a go. We ordered the daily/weekend special,... which was the chicken & waffles with a side. For $13, this was pretty good for a sit down restaurant in the mall. It includedthe chicken & waffles, coleslaw, a side, and a non-alcoholic beverage. We chose the side salad, which was a deliciously andlightly dressed spring mix. The chicken was lightly-battered and fried to a crispy perfection - the only food complaint I hadwas the thigh bone that was still in the chicken, which made pairing the chicken cut with the waffle cut quite messy. The wafflewas a little bit on the heavier side - you could feel the grease from the frying and the dense batter. The staff was kind andcourteous. The space was very clean and the tables were sanitized between every set of guests. The only other complaint I hadwas the cutlery. They were forced to use disposable cutlery, and I applaud then for using compostable cutlery inindividually-seal bags for each person. However, the strength of didn't hold up quite well to cutting the chicken - both my forkand my partner's fork broke while attempting to cut the chicken.
