Came here on a Saturday evening. Great food! We ordered a Monster Melt burger and Pulled Pork sandwich. Both were adequately... sized and delicious! The fries and coleslaw were simple yet surprisingly flavourful. The service was standard - no issues withthe food, servers were polite but our order took a while (understandable since it was a busy time). Visited the Big rig on recommendation by a friend. We came to have lunch at the weekend and found it wasn't busy at all. I chose... to sit outside. It was a windy day and just as well as it meant we weren't to hot. Coming from Europe and not used to"mandatory tipping", I was expending a higher level of service. The waitress forgot to bring the coleslaw that was part of themeal. When we asked one of them, they brought only one . We had to wait for another fifteen minutes before the next coleslaw wasbrought to us. Don't let the " not perfect" service deter you from visiting. The food was amazing. I ordered beef tacos as astarter and the other dish was fries squid rings. Both portions were worthy to be called a main meal. Had we known the portionswere huge, we probably would have stuck to just a main. For mains we had a big pork rib and steak sandwiches both served withsweet potato fries and coleslaw. Waiter was pleasant, knowledgeable about the items on the menu and had recommendations when asked. Loved the energy, the Decore... and the overall vibe of this restaurant!! On a Wednesday evening, this was pretty much the only craft beer place open within a 20km radius. I remember trying the beer in... cans and not being too impressed, but figured I might as well give them another chance. The decor is exactly the same as everyother suburban sports bar/family eatery. Not a bad thing, per se. It wasn't busy at all, just a few regulars at the bar -strangely enough, none of them were drinking the local beer. The waitress was friendly but also clearly couldn't care less aboutthe beer. But she was nice and didn't hesitate to give me a taster of the seasonal beer, a Märtzen. It was actually prettygood, no flaws, just an easy drinking beer. They don't brew anything here, though. So is it a brewpub? I guess not. I orderedthe brisket platter, it wasn't very good. The meat was too fatty - I like fatty brisket but this was too much - and overcooked.The sides were straight from the freezer to the microwave and the sauce was too sweet. Meh. The service was good as was the quality. Taste was good, my wife enjoyed her salmon and my son his blue cheese burger. My... chicken crunch was a bit dry. Overall a nice lunch. Would be good to watch a game here with good sight lines and lots of TVs -worth a visit. Thanks Read more
