A wide variety or authentic Egyptian feteer (pie). The owner and his son are so friendly and offer great customer service. I... tried the Nutella feteer and it is a hit! So delicious, and melts in the mouse. Freshly baked and made in front of customer.Also the vegetable feteer is a great choice if you are vegetarian. Also so delicious and freshly made. I am not sure where those good reviews come from. My experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. Being in love with... Egyptian pies (fateer), I decided to try a pie from this restaurant. There was almost no filling (very thin layer of very badquality filling). The pie was very dry with no butter or even oil. Even worse, the pie was heavily sprinkled with 'zaatar',which overpowered any other taste. I don't think I will try this restaurant again until they hire someone who knows how to bakeEgyptian fateer. Delicious food, the chef makes it fresh right in front of you. If you're jonesing for a pizza, this was 10 times more elevated.... I really enjoyed the sausage/soujouk fatatre and baklava. Be sure to ask the chef for his suggestions and favorites. Read more

Adel?s Fatatre & Chicken Olle A Review by Hassan Hawash Can?t Wait to Try! What a pleasant drop in visit to ADEL?S FATATRE &... CHICKEN OLLE! By pure luck or was it? Adel?s Fatatre & Chicken Olle appeared on my Facebook page. Having lived in Egypt and, ofcourse, having experienced many a street food item there my curiosity was piqued and the temptation led me to go ahead and havea good look at what Adel had to offer. The pickings brought back memories of standing in feteer shops big and small for bothsavoury and sweet feteer creations in the port city of Alexandria, Egypt, bride of the Mediterranean. Looking through thewindow of this shop brought those images out of my long-term recall memory. Watching the pastry chef, Adel, go through themotions of preparing the bubbly wafer thin dough folded upon itself once or twice at which point the pastry can be filled withanything from honey to beef and olives, but in the instance I was there, it was an occasion for basterma ? cured beef ? and eggsto fill the space between one of those folds. Once filled, the dough was folded over itself. I got to see the point at which thepastry was ready to be popped into the ?furn? which can be likened to a wood fire oven. Cooking time should only take a fewminutes before it?s out again. On this occasion, I decided to have the experience of watching the full production in its fullillustrious choreographical constant movement of sprinkle, roll, fling, slap, fling, slap, stretch, spread, sprinkle, fold,heave, ho, plop and then the final defining moment when the serving size square bite size pieces are cut in the takeaway box.Oh, I must mention looking back on this experience, Adel?s feteer was absolutely delicious. Oooooooooh lala, feter Adel is delicious to extent that you can eat 2 in one time. You are so welcomed and Chef Adel himself is... doing the feter. The feter size is very good for one person and you will enjoy the content. We ordered sausage and mix cheeseooooooh was so amazing to an extent that i entered back to thank chef Adel for his perfection.
