Enjoyed a perfect meal here on a Saturday night. My girlfriend and I shared the tart tatin, pheasant breast and foie gras,... buttermilk fried quail and waffle, and the lobster aglonotti. My favorite was the pheasant breast, though everything wasdelicious. Each dish was elegantly prepared and presented an eclectic mix of flavors. We finished the meal with the chocolateganache tart. Portion sizes were appropriate, I would recommend 4-5 dishes to share between 2 people. Wait staff were friendlyand the ambience was lovely. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Kansas City! We LOVED dining here. We arrived a little early so we were able to sit and enjoy a cocktail in a little lounge area, every... single member of the staff was so polite and seemed genuinely happy to be there. We were able to look over the menu while we hadour drinks, so we immediately ordered our starters once we sat down. We are not super fancy people, never tried pheasant, andhad to Google what Foie Gras was, but let me tell you, it was AMAZING. AMAZING!!!!!! A lovely gentleman with a bee bowtie(management?) came over and apologized for the wait on our entrees, which we legitimately hadn't noticed since we had twostarters, but he was so sweet and polite nonetheless! The 1900 Restaurant is a tremendous place to relax and enjoy dinner, my girl friend and I went here for her birthday and they... cared so much and showed their genuine appreciation. very peaceful environment, amazing waiters and waitresses, yummy deliciousfood that changes every now and then, so you always have options.
