I have been eating Popeye's Chicken for more than 40 years and up to today it has been my favorite treat for a drive-thru meal.... I grew up in Long Beach California and would pickup a 2pc meal every year for my father until he passed away in 2015. Throughthe years we would sparingly eat Popeyes, one to three times yearly. Fried chicken isn't healthy so we considered it a"special" treat and it always left us wanting more. A few days ago our 14 year old son came to us saying he wanted a Popeyeschicken sandwich so we made a deal that we would pick up Popeyes the following weekend and today was the day. We drove throughand I ordered 3 classic thighs, my wife ordered 2 classic breast with Mac n Cheese and a chicken sandwich for our son. I wassurprised that this cost $35.00 but not a huge deal, it is a treat. We brought the food home and upon opening the Mac n Cheesewe found the container to be only 25% full of a mushy/greasy cheese on top of macaroni, this looked so nasty I immediately tooka photo. We split up our food, sat down and all came up with the same complaint, the chicken had no taste, just very bland. Wehave come to expect greasy fried chicken, it is fast food so the grease is going to be there BUT it had always tasted great,well not today. No flavor, greasy and disappointing. I think we will have to either check out KFC or pick up from the deli atRalph's. I wish I could add a photo of the Mac n Cheese, it is amazing. Read more

For fast food, it's consistently good food. They know how to properly staff to handle traffic rushes and they get orders right.... You may see many cars in their drive thru; however, the Popeyes team exceeds expectations while being exceedingly patient,professonal, and kind. Read more

This place is always pretty bad to go to. Whether you are an Uber driver, Doordash Driver or a typical customer, don't trust... their wait times. They will tell you the food is ready and they will then have you wait an additional 30 minutes after that tohave your order ready. This happened to me more than 3 times so I'm finally writing a review. The food is right only half of thetime. They almost always give you something other than what you ordered. Don't get me wrong, the food is good but it is notworth the time, cost, or frustration of forcing yourself to eat something you didn't order. And you only eat it because it tookthem so long to give you your order in the first place that you are already frustrated that you'd have to wait another 30minutes for the correct food. Did I mention.. This is just with pick up and delivery orders. This doesn't even consider the factthat if you go through the drive-thru you will be in aaa huge line that wraps either into the street or blocks going into Sonic.Avoid at all costs! Read more

Update: Once again order wasn't right but I caught it this time because I made them look at the order and caught a missing item.... Check out the picture. One of my 5 piece meal. A wing the size of a bottle cap. I must be stupid to keep going back. Youknow the definition of insanity ???? The dining room is closed and the only way to get food here is drive-thru. Swear theynever get order right so check before you pull out. The app totally sucks but the food is good (popcorn shrimp is exception -hard to tell if there is shrimp inside the chewy breading) and service was prompt (when they were open) in spite of how busythey were. Order with the app to get points, but don't expect that they will know which order is yours until you get there and show them.... The chicken is great, of course, and the chicken sandwich is really good. They messed up my side order though, they gave megravy when I ordered a side of rice and beans, and it was just gravy, no mashed potatoes. Or maybe they meant to give me thegravy for the chicken but forgot the rice and beans? I didn't have time to go back and complain so I don't know. Read more
