Becareful I just picked up 3 plates of smoked chicken from the school plates 2 of them were really raw after 6 minutes in the... microwave I just gave it to my dogs. I spoke with the manager and refused to fix the issue she just said that's how they cameout they're smoked and the only way to get a replaced is if I took it back so they can see it. told her I'm not going all theway back just for a chicken plate today it's far from my house and she just said bring it at anytime just save the plate. I'llhelp my nieces for their school as long as it's not food from this place. Read more

Velia Lunsford Yesterday I came for the first time at 7.40 pm. I bought Brisket and Baked Potato to go. The first was not... enough smoke and the second was no soft. I go. I came today..Monday October 3..at 12.05 p...I showed the food...no the bestactitude...they asked the owner refused and to talk to me ..just told the lady ...he will give me Just the potato moneyback....the others 17.00 dlls no. The worst thing is the lack of interest of the owner about a customer experience. For sure Iwill never come back. Read more

Made the mistake of buying a school fundraiser ticket from this place. An impossible time frame they ALLOW you to pick up your... tiny portioned brisket sandwich. An unfriendly unhelpful staff that has a table with rows of brisket sandwich bags ready to gobut still makes you wait close to 20 minutes because they know you're there with a fundraiser ticket and not a "regular"purchase (no one in line so no reason for this delay). The taste was delicious and moist texture but the tiny portion definitelynot worth the 10.00 I paid. Because of this bad experience and that of my coworkers I will not be taking my business here eventhough it's only a block from my work. (thumbs down ace's) Read more

Mostly everything I ordered was pretty good. But note that don't expect to call ahead to pickup your food, you're still gonna... have to wait. Either order online or come in and order. Payment before they make your order basically Read more

My stepson told me about this place. He bragged about the catfish sandwich and stated the BBQ was good. My wife and I... definitely had to try it out. The food was very good and the portions were very large. The brisket was tender and had a nicebark/taste. I was very impressed by the food served at Ace's. We will definitely be going back. Laid back environment and anice place to bring family and friends. Great customer service with a smile. I forgot to mention the Mac and Cheese and PotatoSalad. I just don't eat anyone's potato salad. Especially store bought stuff. Hated it. I love Ace's potato salad. Finally, inmy opinion, potato salad made the way potato salad is supposed to be made. That Miracle Whip stuff, in my opinion, sucks. SorryMiracle Whip lovers (Yucky). Thank you Jesus for great food. This is definitely Texas BBQ at its best. Don't forget to leave agood tip. Good BBQ is definitely a labor of love and very hard to find. Thanks for the love Ace's. I had to add moreinformation to my post. My wife and I also went to the Ace Restaurant in Edinburg because it's closer to our home. I guess youcan have the same name but not the same food. The Ace Restaurant in Edinburg was good but we noticed the potato salad inEdinburg wasn't the same potato salad they made in Mission. Both Ace restaurants our a great place to enjoy awesome BBQ. In myopinion, the Ace in Mission is definitely better. Sorry Edinburg. Just my opinion. You'll find the love at both locations butwe felt more love at the Ace in Mission. I thank both locations for doing what they do but if I want the bomb potato salad, I'mgoing to Ace Restaurant in Mission. Just keeping it real. Peace. Read more

Portions were large and well prepared. The meat fell off the ribs. Wife had the catfish plate and enjoyed it. Our friends had... the brisket and said it was moist and tender. Better than some of the other BBQ restaurants in town. My only concern was thewait in line and order at the register but wait help is hard to come by. Read more

I went by Aces BBQ with my wife for lunch. It's located on 495 between Taylor Rd. and Shary Rd. In Mission. Aces has been around... for ten years and they know how to do BBQ. I've eaten here before and have never been disappointed, but today I wanted to trysomething different. When you walk in you head to the counter and place your order and the cashier brings you your order. Aceshas signs advertising farm raised Catfish and I was feeling it, so I ordered it. My wife ordered the brisket tacos. My platecame with fries, Cole slaw, and house made tarter sauce. The fish was lightly breaded in corn meal and deliciously crispy. Mywife's tacos came with lots of brisket, rice, pinto beans, and home made salsa. She really enjoyed them. I noticed the dessertcabinet when we ordered our lunch and the brownies looked really good, so when we finished our meals we shared one with icecream. The brownies were not chewy but moist and had walnuts for a nice texture touch. I could have eaten another one, it was sogood. The portions at Aces are generous so you definitely get your money's worth and you will leave satisfied. Read more
