I'll be honest, I was shocked at how expensive these donuts are. I ordered SIX, only SIX donuts and it was over TWENTY DOLLARS!... Ridiculous to be honest. There are too many amazing donuts shops in the city for Lamar's to think they're worth that. I've haddonuts all over the place, and if you're gonna charge me that you'd better serve me the best damn donut I've ever eaten, unfortunately not the case. Can't even make up for the price with the size of the donuts, small describes them all. Flavor isdecent but doesn't make up for where this place lacks overall. Might consider going again when they realize their actual valueor make larger donuts... Had higher hopes for them..... Read more

I ordered one cream filled long John and I was shocked that it was four dollars and that?s not including tax. It was good ,but... not worth four dollars. Staff was friendly but I won?t come back due to high prices. Read more

I drive 45 min and pass 12 daylight donuts, 6 crispy Kreme, and 6 Dunkins, just to get to this location for good donuts. This... location has had the best donuts since the 90's when I came here with my dad as a child. Staff is super friendly too. Read more

This place used to be great. Took the grandkids in today and was pretty disappointed. Speciality donuts are a little over $4. ... We got an apple fritter and a cinnamon roll, not much difference in taste, both tasted like fried dough with icing. Cinnamonwas very faint and I literally had one chunk of apple in the entire fritter. Fritters aren't as big anymore either. The ladyworking there was very friendly though. $40+ for a dozen of specialty donuts is just too much, probably won't be back. Read more

Recently moved to the area and thought I?d give LaMar?s a try. My primary issue is that these are expensive. I ordered a half... dozen and it cost $18. They are good donuts, but not worth the price of $2-4/donut. 3 stars for price and donuts that don?tquite live up to it. Give ?em a try, but be aware of the cost in doing so! Read more

Donuts are solid and very consistent. This place has friendly workers who are willing to work with you even when you don't know... what you want. Their traditional donuts are a hit and have a few speciality donuts as well. My only complaint is how small theparking area is for this specific location. Read more

I hadn?t had Lamar?s Donuts for a while and since my favorite donut place was closed, I thought I would try Lamar?s again. The... staff was nice and the service was good. I walked in and my shoes were sticking to the floor. Not a good sign. I orderedseveral donuts, and it was fairly expensive..over $35. I took the donuts home and served them to my guests. I started eatingmy buttermilk bar and it tasted stale and chemically like there was too much leavener in the formula. It also had been fried inold grease which is very unpleasant. I tried another of the donuts and it was the same thing. I?m a chef/baker and a FoodScientist. I work in this industry and I can honestly say these were the worst donuts I have ever had. I would have beenbetter off going to a grocery store and buying off the shelf donuts. Very disappointed in Lamar?s Donuts. I expected better. I gave two stars, as the service was friendly. Lamar?s needs to do better for KC. Read more
