We chose to come here for my birthday because it is one of the only Italian restaurants open on Mondays. The free bread was... fine, salad was good, and lasagna was good as well. The garlic bread side we got was cold and hard. Additionally, I asked forextra sauce on my fettuccini Alfredo (I guess my fault) and I came absolutely smothered in the sauce which was really sub par tobegin with. Finally found a good Italian restaurant in Mishawak. A nice place with nice staff. The food was delicious.

Papa Vino's is one of our favorite places to eat when we visit the South Bend/Mishawaka area. Some of our favorites are the... calamari fritti, Tuscan chicken salad, chicken Mediterranean, steak mini paninis, rigatoni al forno, mushroom ravioli, and wildmushroom fettuccine. I recommend saving room for dessert. The only dessert our family has not tried are the chocolate chipcookies, but I can only imagine they are just as delicious as the others. Read more

the food was just okay, but i did have an issue with the payment. i only ordered an appetizer and water, which came out to... $10.48. i gave the waitress $6 in cash and a credit card for the rest (which i also planned to tip on afterwards). when shebrought back my receipt, i saw that she had charged me the full $10.48 on my card. i was confused, called her back over, and shesaid that she had presumed that the $6 cash was her tip. i've not heard of someone tipping during payment (and not after) likethis, and thought it was quite presumptuous of her to assume- especially considering this was 57% of my total bill. i didn'tfeel like going through the hassle or embarrassment of fixing it, so i told her to just keep it, but it was a frustratingexperience. after this occurrence (my first visit), i would not recommend, but i hope this was an isolated experience andinnocent mistake. edit: the food was not good. an hour and a half after coming home, and i am experiencing stomach cramping,nausea, and vomiting. the spinach artichoke dip gave me food poisoning (3/20/22). We were seated immediately. Our waiter was pleasant and on task. It took a bit longer than expected for our meals. A decent wine... list. The Manicotti is delicious! The prices were not outrageous. It was a very nice dinner. Read more
