The staff was very friendly and the location is very clean and welcoming. I got the jollof rice with meat. The meat and the... sweet plantains were good but definitely some getting used to the aroma of the jollof rice. The flavor of the rice was like whenyou burn yellow rice so I am not fully sure if that the rice was burned or if that?s an intentional flavor. I was also served alot of bone and fat instead of meat. But the meat that I did get was good and flavorful. Read more

This hidden gem is the BEST place in South Florida to get hearty Nigerian food (believe me I?ve tried all the other ones).... Quality ingredients and quality taste. Got a catering order for my office full of non-Nigerians and they all loved it, so muchso that I had to send several of them the location and name of this restaurant. As has previously been stated in the reviews, for Non-Nigerians start off with a plate of Jollof rice with sweet plantains and assorted meat or fried fish. You can?t go wrongwith this order and this restaurant. Read more

ABULA!!!!! Jollof Pot is a good Nigerian restaurant. I am so happy I found this little gem in Miami. The flavors are on... point. For non-nigerians: start off with getting the jollof rice with assorted meat/plantain -- this will not disappoint. It issmokey, sweet and filling! If you are feeling daring, go on Saturday and try the ABULA! It is a traditional dish in Nigeria thatwe all go crazy for. I love the way she makes it and I love the quality of her ingredients. Please give this place a try, I'llbe there every Saturday! Update: After being here a couple of times, I would definitely remove one star because the workers arenot the friendliest and the food is sometimes cold. The quality of the Jollof rice changes depending on the day; same with theplantain and the meat. Read more

Think of West African food as the basis of African-American Soul Food. Eating at the Jollof Pot is like eating at home in the... olden days. Although there are differences, there many are similarities. Nigerian food is spicy, so if you can?t handle spicy, stay home and eat your sauerkraut. Definitely a must try. I?ll return for more. Customer service is phenomenal. Read more

The woman serving us and helping up check out and kind and happy to help describe the dishes to us as well as answerany questions we had. The efo-riro and pounded yam were delicious!! The mix of spinach and various meats were so flavorful andgreat. The snapper and jollof rice were definitely the star. The snapper was huge, fluffy, meaty, and spiced so well.
