Been going here for 20 years and it is still my favorite. You can pay $65 for a Filet in a restaurant in Vail but make the trek... to Minturn for a truly unique experience and delicious meal. A good example of a Unique Funky Colorado Bar Restaurant. Staff was very kind. Mushroom appetizers were amazing. Salad bar... and steaks were fantastic. A really unique experience cooking your own food on an indoor grill you can cook them exactly howyou like them. The night we went we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Kind of like having a private restaurant without theprice. I appreciated that you could split a steak between 2 people and just pay for the Salad Bar. Nice surprise find for the family. Three pre-teen boys each polished off a steak. First time they ever grilled their own. Very... good cuts of beef. My wife and I each devoured ours too. Very friendly staff. Dee was quick and attentive and explained thingswell. Gave good instructions on how to cook the steaks. Decent little salad bar but not the largest selection. But then again,we were there for the meat. It was a good atmosphere that is reflective of the Wisconsin Supper Club. Good drink menu and thebartender sounds like a card. We love this place and try to go every time we go skiing in Colorado. Great steaks, salad bar, sides, service and ambience. ... It's not your fancy steakhouses atmosphere, it's very low-key and fun. Our server Alex did a superb job as well. Read more
