Excellent place. I had breakfast with my wife ten years ago, and I had breakfast with my wife last weekend. It has always been... fantastic. I recommend the salmon and egg scramble with a side of salad. It's not on the board (as of this writing), but justask the cashier for it. Totally worth it. Take a jelly on your way to the table. I have always had a wonderful experience at Turtle Bread, however they should be more careful when it comes to selecting... ingredients. I bought a grab and go turkey sandwich from their case. It was tasty, but the bread was soggy and broken by theridges of lettuce and soggy tomatoes. These issues I didn't mind as much because I recognize that these premade sandwiches haveto last for some time and we're probably made early in the morning... Hopefully. The sandwich had no date or time stamp to beseen. Would like to know their policy on hold times moving forward. Anywho, when I got to this nasty piece of lettuce I wasgrossed out and disappointed to see the lack of care and pride this location had in their business. Read more
Staple of the neighborhood. Great selection of breads, confections, and meals. Food is mostly good but some are misses. Friendly... staff in an inviting, if not cozy, atmosphere. I here regularly and recommend others do too, especially for breads. Read more
The soup and bread are great foods worth the trip. However, you can find better hot entrees in the neighborhood. OH MY GOD!!!!!! My tastebuds have died and gone to literal food heaven. I've spent the last 4 weeks travelling around a decent... portion of the country for work, and I am not exaggerating when I say this is seriously some of the BEST freaking food I haveEVER had. Not to mention the A1 service we received from the girl with the blue hair, she gave us samples when we couldn'tdecide. . We were scratching our heads trying to figure out how this place doesn't have a line out the door and around thestreet. I have to say, I have never been so inspired to travel northern Europe if anything just to try where this incrediblefood came from.
