Soul Bowl has potential, but there's room for improvement in both value and quality of the food. I came here because I won a... gift card, but if I would have paid on my own I would've walked away feeling ripped off. I got the sweet and savory A.A. (DoubleA) sandwich, which was $15.68, and a small can of Diet Coke for around $3.50. Note that this place is on the second floor ofGraze Provisions - I had to ask someone where it was. I wouldn't mind spending the money to support a local business, but I'dexpect the flavor and quality to reflect the price. My favorite part of the bowl was the fried chicken, and while it definitelyhad potential, it was too salty for my liking and a bit over-cooked. The crispy breading mostly fell off the chicken, so I endedup getting mouthfuls of breading with no meat. The cornbread was fine, though a bit dry. I was hungry but only ended up eatingabout half the bowl because it just wasn't doing it for me. Overall it was just okay; I wouldn't seek it out again, especiallyfor the high price. Read more
Graze in general is a great place for the indecisive. I wanted fried chicken and soul bowl did not disappoint. The food is... comforting. The collard greens were smoky. And the yams creamy and soft. I had a great experience with Soul Bowl! I build my own bowl and had Mac and cheese, jerk chicken and corn. The portion size was... more than enough and the flavors were incredible! I definitely tasted the jerk seasoning/sauce and it paired nicely with the Macand cheese. The staff was incredibly friendly and I liked that there were vegan/vegetarian options. Stumbled upon this gem while at the Modist Brewery close by. It?s situated in an indoor two-floor food court with bars on both... floors and all the places having food truck vibes. Perfect for the rainy day. The lady that took our order and delivered ourfood went by Solo and she is a wonderful employee to watch. She alone was running the front (register, packaging food anddelivering). She offered us samples of the sides when we asked her opinion on some items. She was also very plentiful / notskimpy with the food portions whatsoever. I was honestly baffled on the amount of food she packed into the bowls. She made itlike she was the customer wanting everyone penny they were spending. The food itself was delicious. They change the menu from time to time which keeps the flavors fresh. I always buildmy own bowls so I get everything I want.
