Reviews for Sooki & Mimi in Minneapolis, MN
Everything was so good. Incredible mushroom tacos and flank steak was tender and juicy. Only one thing, their cocktails were... little underwhelming. Overall, I love to go back! Read more
I absolutely loved this place! Not only is the atmosphere super adorable, but the service is great as well. There is a 21%... surcharge for the servers because they don't allow tipping, but don't let that make you believe that you don't still get thebest service ever. The pork tacos were fabulous, the walleye tacos were really great as well, and the broccolini side dish wasincredible. I had one of their specialty drinks and loved how light and refreshing it was. Overall, it was a perfect evening. The bathrooms were pretty cool as well. Read more
We loved our first time into Sooki & Mimi. The drinks and food were great. I don't think it's as much fusion as I'd have liked... but it was decent. I'd consider coming back. Read more
You had better love amazing flavors because that's what you are going to get! Amazing as always. I was skeptical about the... fusion but 100% convinced. They were able to accommodate my milk protein allergy including dessert. Fresh, crisp, complex anddelicious. Read more
Another Ann Kim?s master restaurant. Love the ambience, open kitchen view, friendly staff, vegetarian (may be vegan) friendly.... The three course meals have really good options for different dietary restrictions. Would not say it?s the best food I had butit was definitely a good experience. Please make reservations WAY ahead (weeks/month) of time since it?s a hot place in twincities. I was very excited for the one of the only two desserts on the menu (they do have desserts drinks) but they were out ofSatsuma cream puff so I ended up having the Korean sweet potato mochi donuts and they were delicious. Perfect for a date nightor if you?re looking for a different experience. Read more
Food was amazing! There are three courses to the meal with an option to add a sharing plate. There were four of us- two guys and... two girls- we all left stuffed! We did end up splitting a plate to share and a dessert. We could not finish all the food. Eachcourse was incredibly tasty. We split many of the courses. My favorite starter was the cow tongue. I actually loved the gritsfor the second course. And the mushroom is by far the best third course. Only thing that would make this place better would besome ice cream for dessert! Read more
Delicious food! Very different and new flavors and great location. Drinks where great and also the dessert. The only thing that... was not great was the service, it was our first time in the restaurant and our server didn?t explain to us anything.. we askedabout some cocktails and no help at all.. even with the menu just short answers. It kind of ruined the experience. Maybe she wasnot having a good day.. but it was very uncomfortable for us.. specially for a pricy restaurant you expect some great serviceand experience. Read more
I have swung around to Pizzeria Lola several months ago, but we had to check out Sookie & Mimi after seeing the Chef?s Table... special on Ann Kim! The staff of this restaurant was one of the best; everyone was enthusiastic, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The restaurant layout was gorgeous and had plenty of seating. We had reservations, but the place seemed big enough that we feelwe may not have needed them for an early dinner. The food and drinks were pretty much what we expected; delicious andimpeccable! The two out-of-this-world faves were the Korean wings and Korean pork tacos. The butcher?s cut was cooked perfectly, but be warned, it?s spicy! Everything was also decently priced. Now we just need to find time to try Young Joni! Read more
