Arroz Frito, fish and pork pastor taco. All three were very good. The fish breading was light and the sauce on it was... refreshing and flavorful. The pork pastor was tasty and a healthy portion as well. Arroz Frito was very good. The shrimp hadgood flavor and was not at all fishy. The bowl itself with the rice and pork was well seasoned. If anything I would like morespice (but that's just my taste because I like spicy foods). My girlfriend got the sonora bowl and she said it was good aswell. The chips and salsa starters were good, the salsa is a very smokey style and it is good. I just wish it was spicy. Thedrinks were very good. We had margaritas and paloma. Definitely worth going and if I lived closer I would definitely go forhappy hour. Read more

We went on a Friday for happy hour, it wasn't bad but wasn't spectacular. Service/attention was good but the kitchen did forget... we ordered tacos along with other food. The same thing happened to a couple of tables around us. We ordered chips and queso(came out a bit cold but was very good), the Sonora Hotdog (very good), and the burger, and tacos. We never got to try thetacos, and everything else was good with the exception of the fries which were a bit soggy and lacked some moreseasoning. Cocktails including the margarita and the sangria were tasty and great for a warm evening. Read more

I was not impressed with this place. The food was overall bland, and it was extremely overpriced. I ordered the chimi, which is... $18 according to the menu. Oh, but you want meat in that? Extra $6 for that. I ordered what they call "chicken tinga". I havehad tinga in Mexico (as well as Sonoran food in Tucson) and I can assure you that what I ate was not tinga. If you're going toput it on the menu as a known dish, like tinga, you should probably make it close to the way people would expect. Otherwise, call it something else and say it's "inspired by" the original recipe. Even the chimichanga itself was not really a chimichanga!I'd also like to ask what is the point of including some weak beef broth (they call it consomme because that's more fancy) witha chimichanga? Bottom line, this is hipsterized, price inflated, quasi-Mexican/Sonoran food. Two stars because the michelada wastasty and so was the margarita. Read more

Pretty much everything here is expensive. No whining about it. But everything we had was delicious. The chips and queso was... fantastic. I got the tacos. It was the best steak taco I’d ever had. I tried a different kind, Chicken Rojo, and it was goodalso. But not nearly as good as the steak. I see they have a brisket taco now also. I’ll have to try that one. Best tacoI’ve ever had. Period. Great atmosphere. Friendly, quick service even on a busy Friday early evening. I’ll be back. Read more

We walked in and was immediately turned off by the dry atmosphere. If music was playing, I honestly do not remember. But, then... we ordered. Surprisingly, the tacos and empanadas were delicious. If in the neighborhood, I would stop for tacos only. Themargarita was ok. We'd rather go elsewhere for cocktails and beer. Read more

The drinks alone are worth trying this place out, very fun! I’m not a big taco person and really enjoyed their shrimp... bocadillo which had a delicious slaw and dipping sauce. Nice atmosphere and was able to find parking in the lot behind. Wouldrecommend! Read more

we ordered chips & salsa and guac, and the salsa was very watered down and served warm. the guac and chips were both okay. also... ordered 2 sonora bowls each with chicken and pork carnitas. server was new i think and he was confusing, didn’t ask us for anychoice of sour cream. the chicken bowl was pretty decent- i liked the toppings. however, would NOT recommend getting the porkcarnitas as it consisted 80% fat and very greasy and gross. menu did not specify what rice but we swore it was coconut rice, which we did not enjoy. also ordered tacos and found those were very disgusting. overall, came in expecting to enjoy a greatmexican cuisine but that was literally our worst experience ever. nothing about the bowls and tacos were mexican, it was veryamerican-fusion and whitewashed. would not come back again, idk why this place received good ratings.
