Good Thai place in downtown east Minneapolis. They have some vegan options, but you need to ask the server for details as it... isn’t marked. They are able to do most of the noodle and fried rice dishes vegan. I got the Summer Pad Thai with fried tofu.It was pretty good, although a little lacking in flavor. I also got the fried veggie spring rolls, which are very big for springrolls. They were good as well. My biggest pet peeve is that the curry dishes all have fish paste so they cannot be made vegan, but otherwise there was definitely options.we dined in and it was a bit quiet and unlively. I’d recommend this place for aquick Thai takeaway. Read more

I enjoyed Sawatdee on a Monday for a late lunch. It was a great time to go, it was not busy and the server was very efficient,... friendly and made sure I had everything I needed for the entire duration of my stay. I ordered chicken Pad Thai with aspiciness level of 4 out of 5. The Pad Thai was excellent and a generous portion as you would normally expect. The flavorswere on point and the ingredients all seemed very fresh. My only complaint was that it just didn't seem very spicy at all tome, but food has to be pretty dang spicy to suit my tastes. I also had an order of Sue's Egg Rolls as an appetizer. If I'veever had better egg rolls, I have no idea when or where it would've been. These rolls were big, crunchy, and filled withtender-crisp cabbage and other fresh ingredients. I was saddened to find out that they don't have spicy mustard. But it didn'ttake long to forget all about that, as these yummy egg rolls stood on their own and didn't need my help with any spicy mustard. Go to Sawatdee when you're in the area. Trust me. The food and drinks were tasty, but we were hoping to see more vegan options. Our server seemed uncertain about what could be... made vegan. We think the masaman curry, fried vegetarian spring rolls and pad see ew are vegan… but not 100% certain. Therobot ‘server’ is adorable! Read more

I do not know what to say. I assume that this is a Thai restaurant but cooked by someone else that is not Thai. It tasted weird,... and the ingredients were not fresh. Papaya salad and mango rice were horrible and tasted ever. The fried rice was ok to try, andI ordered coconut soup, too, including two drunks that cost me over $100. By the way, ensure you have time to wait for your foodfor an hour. Never again???? Read more

I ordered the curry fried rice and it was very dry. Also the stir fried silver thread noodles and that didn’t really have a... lot of flavor. The only thing I actually liked were Sue’s egg rolls. Very much a disappointment because I usually loveSawatdee but this was my first time trying these meals. I’ll just stick with my original order next time! Read more

When I lived in the Eden Prairie area, I totally enjoyed everything at the Eden Prairie location. It has been closed for a few... years and I am now in Richfield. Tonight I ordered thru DoorDash. The Spring Rolls and the Pad Tai were as I remembered, wonderful. However the Calamari was terrible. I received 4 or 5 globs of french fried batter with a few rings of calamari. Itwas tasteless and inedible. I'll never order that again. Read more

I live close and like to order their curry. It’s always a hit or miss which is concerning since it should be relatively... consistent. This time they used water to make their Rama Thai curry stretch. I ordered extra tofu (+$2 more) and had 4 piecesof tofu in the whole meal. I plan on going back because I do like the food and it’s convenient but it’s 2/5 stars at best. Read more

This was my third time trying their food and it was about to be the last one but I changed my mind. It was absolutely... delicious. My husband always orders fried rice with the spiciness level of 1 out of 5. I must say that the rice has never reallyhit the spot, it’s tasteless but my husband enjoys it. So this time I ordered the Pad Thai (spiciness 3) and it was justperfect! I cannot say anything bad about it. Also my husband said it was the best pad Thai he’d has in the twincities. Service was good and our waitress was so kind! 5 stars based on their pad Thai. Read more
