Amazing ramen? try all the side dishes!!! Finally got to try this ramen spot and could not be more pleased. Atmosphere is... casual but trendy, order at the register or sit down and order with QR code. The order links to your table and the food comesout quickly. Service was friendly and quick!! I tried the Onigiri salmon and onigiri tuna mayo. The tuna mayo was my favorite.I could come back and eat 4 different onigiri. Someone at my table got the gyoza and it was spicy and amazing. The tonkotsuramen was creamy and tasty. The pork belly was perfectly cooked and the ramen was really fresh. I ate the whole bowl which Irarely do! Read more

Eaten here practically every Sunday since 2018, the ramen is always spectacular, and Matthew Kazama is an awesome person! It?s... my little slice of Japan?s finest dropped right into Minneapolis. Go try the Tonkotsu, best I?ve had in or out of Japan! Read more

Ramen is pretty new to me so I wanted to give Ramen Kazama a try since I barely ate it growing up, and I have never had it at a... restaurant before. From a value standpoint, it's a pretty good bang for your buck in terms of portions. There isn't muchinteraction with staff after you get your food, but I didn't really mind since they were busy and it gives me time to enjoy myramen. I decided to go with the Tonkotsu Ramen. I had done some research prior to eating here and saw that there are manydifferent components to create a cohesive bowl of ramen. The egg was soft and had a nice yolk, and the pork belly was tender andjuicy. There was some nice texture components from the green onion, bamboo shoots, and wood ear mushrooms too. Lastly, thebroth which will distinguish a good bowl of ramen from just an average bowl of ramen. Initially, the broth didn't really do muchfor me and I was having a hard time enjoying it. Once it cooled down a little and I got towards the end of the bowl, it startedto become creamier and more flavorful. This is what I was looking for and I came around to enjoying it at the end. Had the popular Shoyu ramen and chicken karaage... Both items were delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the pork was... so tender. The chicken karaage was perfectly salted and crispy. As others mention, the atmosphere has a hipster vibe, Definitelyrecommend coming here early so you can get a seat. Read more

A cozy and low-key ramen joint. The interior is cramped and charming, with plenty of tables and counter seating available. Food... is fantastic with large portions and reasonable prices I went for the Tonkotsu ramen - generally my choice when visiting a newramen joint - and it was fantastic. The broth was incredibly rich and creamy, the pork belly was fatty and savory, and thenoodles had just the right amount of bite to them. The chicken karaage was also excellent, coming out steaming hot with acrispy exterior and tender, juicy meat inside. Highly recommend making a visit to Ramen Kazama. As a bonus, there's anexcellent crepe/japanese pancake/coffee joint connected! Read more

A wonderfully cozy ramen shop. Fiancé and I ended stopping to try something new on a chilly Sunday evening. We chose to sit at... the counter seats so we would also have the window view. The cashier recommended #3, the Karimiso Ramen as it was one of themost popular and it was very satisfying. A rich broth with a ton of umami. It wasn?t as spicy as I expected and that?s a goodthing. The spicy pork was savory and tasty. The Torisho ramen may look underwhelming compared to the popping colors of the otherramen, but it was delightful. The broth tasted crisp and clean and for a chicken broth that usually pails in comparison to porkor beef broths, it held its own. We also ordered the chicken karage. The taste of the skin reminded me of shrimp chips, if youknow, you know, and was a nice addition. The thing I wished was different would be the size of the karage pieces. Felt that itwas a little too large to bite into as the chicken was molten hot and if it was cut into smaller chunks, it would save from themouth burns. A splash of fresh lemon juice would?ve been nice on the karage too. Overall a really nice spot to get some ramen.Would highly recommend. Read more
