Most importantly the food was delicious and I highly recommend it. This place had one employee and cooked the food, served the... food and cleaned the dishes and tables. So remember this with the following as it was understandably difficult for one person torun an entire business alone. However, the following is constructive criticism mostly and as a review for newcomers in what toexpect. We asked for a fork and napkin a couple times and never got it. Its food mainly eaten with your hands though and worthit, additionally this is a very cultural dining experience and I am all A+ for the authentic experience. My guest I was with isas americana as can be, so there is that. They loved the food by the way. Read more

Possibly the best Ethiopian food we?ve had in the twin cities, and there are a lot to choose from. If you are looking to avoid... single use plastic, bring your own water. My only real complaint was I wished the acrylic table covers were clean. Read more

Delicious veggie sambosas and veggie combo. Freshly made and very flavorful! However, note: 1) be specific about the quantity... of each appetizer/drink you would like to order 2) the food will take a long time (per the one woman show) It would be great ifMeseret could update the prices on the menu as well to reflect what will be charged. The food injera with all combo was delicious, but menu will not match what you will pay, she will charge more, I wish she can... update her menu with price. Everything else is cosy and clean ???? great decor. Read more

Certainly had a satisfying experience at Meseret! The reviews about service being a bit on the slow side during off-peak hours... seem to be valid, I spent a fair bit of time waiting on my food for being the only dine-in patron. Staff were kind about it, andwhen said food did arrive, it was delicious! I ordered the Quanta Fir-fir, and the dried beef was delicious along with theaccompanying injera fit-fit itself. I certainly plan on ordering from Meseret in the future when I'm craving some Ethiopianfood! Read more

If you want to enjoy the food here, right-size your expectations. Be ready to wait and pay more than what's on the menu. The... service was slow. We were the only folks dining in at the time and it took 40 minutes from ordering to getting our food. We sawtwo to-go pick up orders during the time we were there. It was the owner and two workers helping her so likely understaffed, which is not unusual during the pandemic. We were charged $2 more per dish than what was on the menu. I understand if there isa need to increase prices, especially during the pandemic, but update the menu, even if that means putting stickers with thecorrect price over the old price. Or at minimum, give customers a heads up when taking orders that the prices are higher thanwhat's on the menu. We were going to order the chicken wings and fries for the kids. They didn't have chicken wings (noproblem!) so we opted for just fries. We were charged $9.99 for only fries, which was the menu price for 8 chicken wings andfries. The food was decent (except the soggy fries), although I have had better at other Ethiopian restaurants in the TwinCities. It's not horrible if you go in knowing the wait time and the fact that prices will be higher than stated on the menu. Iunderstand the long wait time, considering they and many other restaurants are short-staffed right now. I understand the needfor increased prices. I understand the supply chain issues so why they might not have what's on the menu. Go in with the rightexpectations We were caught off guard by the higher prices so left with a figurative bad taste in our mouths. Read more

We appreciated our delicious Ethiopian lunch, the food was delicious! We were very excited to share the food with our toddlers... too. The bayayanet was perfect. All the food was flavorful and well cooked. The shiro was good but too thick (it was closer totegabino than shiro). We would like to come back and enjoy coffee next time. Read more
