Reviews for Gandhi Mahal Restaurant in Minneapolis, MN
Great food, colorful interior, good prices, right off West River Parkway, Gandhi Mahal will become a regular stop for me.
Authentic and awesome! Currently no dine in.. and kind of sketch area.. but delicious. 1 star off because they dont label the... dishes in your go bag and unless you're super familiar, you dont know what is what. But yum! Read more
Great food and convenient location! Dig the vegan options, and many of them!
Super nice Indian food. Somewhat on the spicy side though. All in all a great experience - but I am sucker for good Indian food.
I've eaten at over a dozen Indian restaurants and this is the best my husband and I have visited. The service was good, the food... was excellent, the live music made me want to dance and the vibe set a romantic tone. Overall, it was a perfect experience and Ihighly recommend trying this place! The food here is quite authentic to say the least. The combination of herbs and spices in their entrees make the food flavorful.... The basmati rice is perfect for these type of dishes. The service was good and the time to receive our food was on point. Ihighly recommend for first timer to get the naan flat bread; dip it in the sauces from the entree to give the full experience ofIndian and Bangladesh cuisine. Read more
I immediately appreciated this restaurant for not making their food (especially the channa) oily. Naan could have been buttered... but went very well with the channa. The buffet also included equally tasty lentil and aloo sabji options to have with theseasoned or basmati rice. The aloo bajjis were quite oily but this did not take away from their taste, which I enjoyed afterdipping into the green/spicy chutni (sweet variety was also available). I ate the salad to start light before moving on toeverything else in the lunch buffet. The cool kheer and mango custard dessert options were delicious and especially welcome on asummer day. 10/10 and will definitely return! Read more
I loved Gandhi Mahal when it was at its original location before the riots. Then three years went by and I came back to town and... tried it at its new location in Seward. It?s now called Curry in a Hurry. I was very disappointed. Instead of serving the riceseparately like they did before, they put everything in one bowl. The chicken tikka masala was dry, and there was so much ricethat it overpowered the entire bowl. I will not be back. Read more
