Reviews for Eggy's Diner - Minneapolis in Minneapolis, MN
I have been here twice. Both times it has been very busy but the food was great! If I recall correctly, we had to make... reservations each time. If you are driving here, finding parking can be a challenge because you have to find street parking. Thestaff is always busy and not as attentive as they could be. However, the food and coffee is delicious here! Read more
The 20 minute wait to get in was fine, any more you have to expect a wait. The hour and a half wait from when we ordered till... we received our food was/is unacceptable. I realize they are short staffed as are most restaurants now, but they were onlyseating every other table. Biscuits and gravy, pancakes are the fastest and easiest breakfast to make. I'll give them one moretry, maybe they'll be faster/more prepared next time. Read more
Great experience at Eggy’s. INTERIOR/VIBE: stylish and comfortable. FOOD: had the American skillet. Love the concept of the... skillet dish - a bunch of ingredients with eggs on top. All the food was excellent. COFFEE: very good SERVICE: good A solid 5stars based on my only visit. Read more
The best sausage gravy and biscuits ever! Great portions and selection of meals. Get there early they get packed! Staff is... wonderful and a full bar. Perfect for hangovers!! Read more
I didn't enjoy the food, there were too many flies in the restaurant, and the service was sub par at best. They were out of... corned beef hash and the potatoes lacked seasoning. I wasn't a fan of the hollandaise either. The bacon, sausage links, andpancakes were good. Read more
Decided to take myself out to breakfast this morning, and Eggy's was where I ended up!!! I know this place can be pretty busy... sometimes, but I was hoping since it was Tuesday morning they could get me in right away - they did! Service was excellent. Foodwas GREAT! Coffee was great (somehow a lot of places manage to mess up black coffee???). Really good prices, and I took half ofmy order home for a 2nd meal! This is definitely a place I want to come more often. Excellent place for breakfast! Very convenient! However, it is VERY BUSY! Especially during the weekend! Be prepared to... wait....having said that, the food is terrific but, if it's really busy it's oftentimes overdone. That's not the normthroughout the day though, just during the morning rush. So, if you don't like really crispy bacon, make sure you specify thatwhen you order..... Read more
I found this place online on my last day in Minneapolis. The weather was perfect the entire weekend, but on that Monday it... was really drab and a bit windy. One of the reviews mentioned that they have really good hot chocolate. I don't know why, but that sold me lol. Upon arrival, no one was at the door (the place wasn't packed at all), but when the hostess spotted me, I was seated quickly. They have a really great selection of breakfast items. There were quite a few things that I wanted totry, but I asked my server because usually know more about the food and the people's choices. The server highly recommended thePuerco Picante and Mexican Skillet. I opted for the former, but was later told they were out of pulled pork. She thenrecommended a new item, Fried Chicken & Biscuit. I hesitated because often times (unless it's a Southern restaurant) thechicken isn't seasoned so the meal is not tasty. I shared with her that I'm a Southerner and why I was skeptical. She toldme that she'd ask the kitchen to put a lil extra season on my chicken and I happily obliged. I also ordered the breakfastpotatoes, grits, bacon and, of course, some hot chocolate. I can honestly say, the hot chocolate was delicious. Iwould've ordered one to go, but when my Fried Chicken & Biscuits arrived I couldn't believe how big the portion was. It wasHUGE! This is definitely a dish you should share. I give it a 5 out of 5. It was beyond delicious. The breakfast potatoeswere fried too hard for my liking and the grits were horrible, but I think it's a region thing. I think Southerners cook andlike their grits a certain way. And that's understandable. Thankfully, my server forgot to put the bacon order in because Icouldn't eat one other thing. I couldn't finish my Fried Chicken & Biscuits. I tried, but it was just too much....what agood problem to have. I noticed that as I sat trying to finish my food, more patrons arrived. My server was Read more
