Fresh and delicious! Something new and different with unique flavors and ideas. Started with a beef empanada and it was so good... I nearly went up and told them to just serve me anything else as well because I knew it would be equally amazing. Had an arepawith beef, black beans, plantain and Venezuelan cheese. Excellent. We were truly blown away by how fantastic the food was here. The arepa was beautifully fluffy, stuffed and seasoned. The chicken... pie was so flavorful and buttery. Their platains are some of the best I\'ve had in the midwest. I will say it is quiteexpensive.\n\nAlso note that they will call your name out when your food is ready. The arepa was lightly crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside--justdissolved in my mouth with the savory pulled pork. Ours was served hot with a generous portion of grilled vegetables.\nThoughI\'m no expert of Venezuelan cuisine, the beef empanadas we had changed my mind about how delicious maize based bread can be.Our empanada was served piping hot, and the exterior cooked golden brown. From the first bite, I could hear how crispy they areon the surface, yet very tender and almost seemed to melt in my mouth by the time I got to the beef filling.
