Reviews for Al's Breakfast in Minneapolis, MN
I had the blueberry pancakes with orange juice and it was so filling. Great location in the university area close to shopping... and banking. The food is worth the wait in line outside. Read more
Got there around 7:15 am, they only have like 12 seats so I waited in line for about 20 minutes outside. Ordered 2 Blueberry &... Walnut Panckes, it was alright, nothing crazy and also ordered Pure Maple Syrup. The portions were super big so I had some foodleft over. It was very nice and someone paid for my breakfast so I doubled my tip. Read more
Just as good the 2nd time. We were at Al?s about 6 years ago when in Minneapolis. The wait was about 40 minutes, about what we... expected. We got to sit right next to the grill which we considered numero uno! We each had an omelette and shared a Blueberry????. Everything was very good the staff was a real pleasure to deal with. This place has been on my eatery bucket list for awhile now, ever since it was featured in the 1st season of DDD. Al's Breakfast... certainly did not disappoint regarding the expectations I had in every facet imaginable. The experience was absolutely amazingfrom the friendly staff, friendly co-patrons, quick service and last but not least exceptionally delicious food. Personally Iwent with the Dinkytown omelette smothered with hollandaise sauce with a side of hash browns and needless to say I cleaned myplate! I definitely plan to eat here again in the future when I'm in Minneapolis for breakfast. Read more
Very delicious American breakfast. The price is great but the food is greater. We came around 11:30 am on Saturday morning and... got into until 12:30 pm. So plan early if you don?t want to wait. In addition, they only accept cash and check. No cards orVenmo. Read more

waited roughly 45 minutes before we were seated in the restaurant. i?d suggest getting there at least 20 minutes prior to... opening because the line gets really long. the restaurant itself is cute and small with a lot of small antique decorations. foodhere is also pretty good, and decently priced too. The place is a small old time style counter breakfast spot. The eggs are made to order as were the chocolate chip pancakes.... Service is prompt and friendly. Read more
