Additional Information
I have been going to Mesquite Pit for a few years now. After everything opened back up I found Mesquite Pit's prices to have... been below some of the other nicer eating establishments. It is a great meal for the price. Service is good and the peoplefriendly and down to earth. I highly recommend them for quality of food and service. Read more
I?m new in Texas so I don?t consider myself an expert on BBQ, but what I have tasted so far in other places are way better than... this place. Our server at the bar was amazing and the environment is friendly. The food was very bland especially the brisketand the ribs. Not that it was all bad I just think it could be better. Read more
Can't wait to go back. Service was on point and a nice atmosphere to enjoy your eats.
The food was great and the waitress was amazing. However we were told not to worry that we didn?t have our birthday coupons for... my husband and daughter because they could look it up. No where does it say that if I haven?t eaten there in awhile then thepoints account goes dormant. So they wouldn?t honor the birthday meals we ordered. Read more

What a neat place, it reminds me of the Montana Club restaurant in Missoula MT. So here's the skinny, the food here needs a bit... of work and then this place gets 5* across the board. The main sign says Steak and BBQ, but it could just as well say fish &chips. Steak & BBQ is not a specialty, but it is an option. Our food was served under temperature which is a direct reflectionof the server who was M.I.A. most of the time. Mia was very friendly just not attentive to make sure drinks stayed full or tocheck on things like extra napkins or to seef if the food was even cooked properly. We ordered a ribeye and sliced brisket forour meals. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium so kudos to the chef. It was nice and tender, but had very little flavor. Myribeye was a huge letdown, it tasted like it was seasoned with all spice, just very bland. This $30.00 steak needs to pop withflavor and melt in your mouth. TIP: Steaks are served with butter on top to add not only flavor, but to the texture. This givesit the effect that it is melting in your mouth. The sliced brisket needs quite a bit of work as well, I think it is storebought and heated up to serve. Definitely not made fresh either way. It was considerably dried out and didn't show any signs ofa smoke ring. We ate very little of the brisket. My dog loved it though! As for the sides, this is the only place I know ofthat doesn't give you Mac & cheese as an option with your brisket. There are lots to choose from though. Here is what Iremember. Mashed potatoes, baked potato, French fries, green beans, baked beans, fried okra and 1/2 of a corn on the cob. Ihope to see some changes so I can give them 5* Read more
