This quaint little cafe nestled in this amazing Victorian Style House was the most pleasant experience I have had in some time.... I wanted a light breakfast, (brunch) that morning and a really good cup of coffee, so I decided "enough", it was time to givethis mystical diner a try. Wow...I was not disappointed. I enjoyed the most delicious spinach, onion, and feta quiche. It waspaired with a green salad that had an amazing vinegarett dressing. As I appreciated each bite, it was obvious that the stafftook great pride in their craft and the preparation of this wonderful meal. But, the details were obvious in other areas too.The vintage plates and large picturesque window in the "period" dining area, all created the most delightful experience that'snot easily forgotten. This is a fun coffee shop located inside an old house. Varied selection of coffee and tea. Nice selection of pastries. Bagel was... generic store bought, but the Los, pickled onion and crispy capers made up for the bleh. Absolutely will get that again. Edit:bagels are a pain in the neck to make in-house. Unless you are absolutely all in on bagel making, don't sweat it. Read more
Walked in with a group of 9 ladies today and the food was fresh. We enjoyed healthy portions with lots of options to choose... from.. I had the Shrimp Poke Wrap and it was SO delicious! Staff was shorthanded but handled everything with grace. Weloved the quiet atmosphere and being able to have our own room to dine in. Highly recommend! I hear their coffee is awesometoo! Give 'em a try! They also have a fridge full of come and take breakfast and lunch items to purchase if you want to skipthe wait. Read more
Cafe U is a nice, little coffee shop that also has homemade pastries as well as soups, sandwiches, and salads available for... lunch. There are a few places to eat with tables and chairs, or you can sit in the Victorian styled living room on couches andlook out the large windows. This is a nice, tranquil place in Mineola. Read more
Easily walkable from the main downtown shops, and definitely worth it! Very friendly staff. Cozy and comfortable atmosphere... that was clearly designed with special care and attention to detail. Although we didn't order food (we had just eaten beforetrying Cafe Ü for the first time) the food dishes we saw being ordered looked amazing. Look for a small board on the countercontaining a menu of seasonal items seasonal items. Highly recommend a Cold Brew with a pump of syrup (they have multiplesugar-free options). Next time we're in Mineola we will definitely come back! Read more
This is hands down the best coffee shop I have ever been to. And to make it even better, it is Mineola. There are so many... wonderful things about this place. The staff are nicest, sweetest people I've ever met. The coffee is always, and I meanalways, just right. There are fun and comfortable places to sit. It isn't hard at all to find a quite corner, or you can evensit on the porch. I never thought I'd say that a coffee shop has Fried Green Tomatoes vibes but this one certainly does. Read more
Great atmosphere in an older home with plenty of seating downstairs, upstairs and outside. Bring a laptop, grab a true... cappuccino, maybe a lox bagel and enjoy the day. Just whatever you do, mind the sign in the bathroom - don't pull the door allthe way to or you just might be shouting for help to get out! ???? Read more
