This was our first time going to this place. We went for a special occasion. Since we had a reservation we didn't have to wait a... lot. I liked the fact they decorated the place since we told them we were celebrating a birthday. They probably only had 2waiters waiting the tables so the service was super slow. They brought entrée before the appetizers and didn't give properdishes for the food. We asked for them too and waiter said he would come back, but he never showed up. We were missing a fewitems from our order which we reminded again. For that too waiter said he will bring it but never showed up (and no they did notadd it in bill) We wanted to do a surprise cake so while making the reservations on phone i specifically asked if they presentthe cake if we give them the cake and candles and they assured me they would do so. After the dinner, we asked them to bring outthe cake but they just brought cake and gave us candles and lighter to light up ourselves and left. We could have done a betterjob of cutting a surprise cake at home. Other than these mess ups, overall the food was great and we all loved it. The staffmembers and waiters were nice and polite. Picked up Tikka Masala and a few bread assortments, all fresh and tasty. Great to have a good quality Indian restaurant option... in this area. Interior decor of the restaurant was much nicer than I expected! Will have to dine in next. Update 08/22: thisplace has the best veggie samosas that I've eaten on Long Island, or anywhere else for that matter. Seriously though, althoughsamosas are more expensive than typical Indian or Bengali places, the ingredients taste fresh and high quality and the crust isjust perfectly crunchy and chewy. Combine the green sauce and tamarind (brown sauce) it's super delicious. Having ordered itmultiple times, the flavors had been very consistent. Read more
I?ve eaten a lot of Indian food and this is hands down the Best Indian food I?ve ever had. My family comes here almost every... week and it never disappoints. I'm new to Indian food, but the Mineola location is near my job and it looks so pretty from the outside I decided to try it...... the place is beautiful inside too and super clean (I'm so particular about that), the service is really good - Nusrat patientlydescribed every dish for me lol - and the food was amazing! I don't get the one star review someone posted, I loved everything Iordered; the chicken curry, the veggie samosas and a side of Naan- all were delicious. The portion size is good, there's plentyleft over for lunch or dinner tomorrow. Possibly the only suggestion I could make is to add more peas in the samosas, but maybethat's just me bc I love peas. This was a nice find. Upon entry, you knew you were walking into a fine dining experience. The manager told me they opened right... after covid so have been around for a couple years now. The sizzling plate was the best part of the overall dining experience.We had the special mixed grill and the lamb seekh kebab sizzling plates as the main course and keema paratha with chicken as anappetizer. Good food. Fantastic atmosphere. The dining room and bar are beautiful. The owner was personable and gave great menu... recommendations. I loved the tandoori salmon with yogurt sauce. Also the samosas were delicious! The veggie samosa is burstingwith flavor. Their chutneys are SO GOOD. The chicken Tikka and butter chicken were on point (exactly as expected but notexceptional). The food here is very tasty! I've only gotten takeout so far and it's always ready on time. The restaurant looks really pretty... and I'd like to eat here sometime for dine-in. I keep coming back for more. Don't be afraid to order spicy because the mild andmedium are really not very spicy at all. There is also a 4th very spicy option. Read more
