Two words, "very clean". The waitstaff greeted us at the door and were very, very professional and friendly to every one of... us. I will definitely suggest this restaurant to my friends as a clean and safe place to eat. We received what we ordered and it was very small. We’d ordered the same thing. We saw someone else a little ways away and... their same order was a lot bigger and so I asked why ours was half the size. She went back to get someone else to tell me Iguess because this other lady shows up at the table and said “I heard someone’s been complaining?”(exact words. It shockedme and made me feel horrible) That was the moment I knew I was going to write this review. I had not been rude at all beforethis point, I’d just asked if we’d ordered something different than the person we could see with the same item. She thenfinally admits that since they were so full (only 4 tables were occupied) and since we’d ordered the same thing they only madeone portion and split it. They were fully planning on having us pay full price each for only one split item. Even when they didbring out a second split portion I never got upset or was rude full knowing there was no point. I’d rather just let their ownactions speak for them here in the reviews. I had a horrible time, was treated so rudely, and will never go back to thislocation :( Read more
Nothing like it used to be - way to cold and hard to stay in there. They need to turn off the fans or turn down the air... conditioning! Waitress was great! The only reason I would go back - otherwise, it's the local Applebee's next time. Read more
This is one of the best Shari's. Always clean, fast service, hot food cooked well. The manager here checked on every customer... while I was there. And you could hear laughter among the staff. Makes for a nice atmosphere. Read more
While we have lived in Milwaukie for almost 9 years, it took needing a place to comfortably sit and converse with a new found... friend to finally discover this place. I had heard of Shari's famous pies, but never had personally patronized theestablishment. We spent almost 3 hours there, talking, laughing, having a great time! Not once were we asked to conform to thenormal progression of a restaurant visit. Our experience was quite the opposite, actually. The wait staff was so friendly andreceptive to our main reason for having been there - our first face to face meeting as new friends. We met through a sitesearching for friendly companionship. At this place, no pressure, just a place to enjoy good friends. Grant you, don't arrive at12 noon or 6p and expect the same treatment. Select an off time. The Classic BLT and fries, while nothing spectacularlyoutstanding from any other BLT, tasted oh so good in this environment! The best thing about this Diner is the service! Our wait staff were on top of everything. ? We had to wait awhile for our food,... about 35 minutes. It was quite empty since it was their first day of opening since covid. The decor could use an update. Thefood was average and comparable to most diner food. Read more
The vegetable based sausage patties were very tasty, not greasy, and would definitely order them again! Service was nice,... although the staff were not required to wear masks anymore. That was a little off putting as I am immunocompromised. Overall,great experience we watched the ducks in the near by stream out the window! Read more
